Moby talks about New Order on his website

From his Tour Diary Updates on 3-5-05:

hi, not much to report. i'm just travelling around being a narcissist and talking about myself to nice journalists(and, the truth be told, the occasionally not-so-nice journalist. eh, it's not so bad). we did top of the pops tonight and new order were on, as well. and new order were on the 2nd time that i did top of the pops, in 1993. and they were also on when i did top of the pops one time in 2000, i think. and, as many of you know, i love new order, and i consider it one of my career highlights to have played a joy division song with them in california(this recording appears on the fantastic '24 hour party people' soundtrack). now it's late. i'd write more but i'm tired and my spartan hotel bed is calling to me. moby

Well if ya love New Order so damned much, why the heck'd ya do that to "Temptation?!" ;)

Were New Order on Top of the Pops then? No mention of it on their site.

No they weren't. Must have recorded the same day as Moby however cut Krafty out to show it this Friday to coincide with this weeks release (will be on BBC2 cuz of Comic Relief).

I didn't like it at first, but after listening to it more, I like it better. It doesn't come close to New Order's though. :)
