Open hearts Empty spaces Dusty roads To distant places But all the time When I'm alone I think of you And how you've grown

Far and wide Sweet and simple To over ??? The ???

But if Jesus comes to take your hand I won't let go, I won't let go

I'm not cruel And you're not evil And we're not like All those stupid people You can't decide Which book to read Unless the paper Souls the seal ?!?!?!

You're the kind of person That I've always wanted to be with We'll you're really cool And you always say the right things to me But now I'll tell you something From my happy ??? deep inside But never be ???? And my love for you will never die, never die, never die, never die, never die

But if Jesus comes to take your hand I won't let go, I won't let go

But if Jesus comes to take your hand I won't let go, I won't let go

Good times around the corner Good times around the corner Good times around the corner I swear it's getting warmer Good times around the corner Good times around the corner Good times around the corner

I'm gonna live 'til I die I'm gonna live to get high

You may be right; I had thought "sows deceit"

"Far and wide Sweet and simple JEHOVAH KNOWS THAT I'VE BEEN SINFUL" "WHO can't decide" (not YOU) "FOR MY HEART BEATS FOR YOU deep inside" (not FROM MY HAPPY ???) "But never be A BURDEN"

About the line after "Unless the paper," I'm still not sure. It may be "Sows the seed," as Andy Swan suggests. It may be "Sows deceit," as I originally thought. It might be "Souls deceive." In the context of this song, "Which book to read" is probably the Bible, so that either "sows deceit" or "souls deceive" would work if you assume "the paper" is leading people astray. "Sows the seed" fits the rhyme with "read." But the immediately previous rhyme (EVIL/PEOPLE) is not perfect so that there wouldn't need to be a perfect rhyme with "read" either. I think Bernard may be trying to get a little of all three in.

Well get to it.

Who knows, maybe Get Ready will be the first New Order album with lyrics included! That would be good..

Any chance that "I swear it's getting warmer" is ironic? Hell-fire approaching, instead of the mild weather the singer believes?

Is it possible that what sounds like "Far and wide" is really "FIRE and WINE"?

Further on, I think it's "YOU'LL never be a burden."
