I think its quite good,it could have been a lot lower. I doubt The Cure,Depeche Mode or PSB could get that high nowdays.

Well, Crystal was a much better song, so doing the same on a song that's not nearly as good suggests a broader reach.

That's poor. With all the promotion and in this era of the download I would have expected #5 as 'break-even'. Erasure got to #4 in January with no promotion and they haven't got a bigger fan-base than NO. It suggests that only the hardcore have bought it - expect the album to go in at #6 a la GR...

I think #8 is good considering:

The song has been legally available on the internet for over 2 months now
There is no b-side on any of the singles

The real test will be the 2nd single... it can't do worst than 60 Miles An Hour, can it?
