Title track and Turn are fantastic.  Others are great.  Much better than 'Get Ready' (which I liked)

i heard every song which sounded the same but on a different scale.. it was horrible bernard had the same melody in every song. the try at dancey material proved to be pathetic. sounds like HOUSE music you would here at a Frat party. i feel so bad for them. sigh.

For me it's  a solid 8. I've been listening to this album for a full month now, and I'm not bored yet! Great sign it's going to be a keeper :thumb:

Listened for a few weeks to the album: 8 i think

(side note: primitive notion on Get Ready still wins)

1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10 stand out; 5,  7, 8, 11 average at this point in time.

Gave it an 8.

Favorite to least favorite, in order:

Hey Now What You Doing

Dracula's Castle

Turn

Who's Joe?

Krafty

Waiting For The Sirens Call

Morning Night and Day

I Told You So

Guilt Is A Useless Emotion

Working Overtime

Jetstream

I wound up giving WFTSC a 9.  Normally, for the average band I would give it an 8 but the fact that New Order can make some of their best stuff at their age and this far into their career deserves an extra point from me.

Dracula's Castle (guilt is a useless emotion being close) is my favorite tune off the album.  Like I have been saying, this is one of those flawless albums for me.  It flows so well.  A rarity.

agree with that:thumb: ,except jetstream is a total stinker:scratch: I would give it an 8/10 overall i think.

Gave it a solid 7.

The title track is quite obviously the standout.  Like all great New Order songs you don't know whether to dance or cry and the brains moment of confusion is what sets this band apart from the rest.  For the first time since Regret i hear traces of the tragedy, sadness, and fighting spirit that is oh so quintesentially New Order.

8 for me too. Who's Joe?, Sirens & Guilt are excellent.

8 for me...some weeks it has verged on a 9.  But after a month of solid rotation averages at an 8.  If "Guilt...." had been produced better plus less annoying female vocals maybe it could have been a 9 for me.

"Turn" is a hair stander upper a little more than WFTSC so "Turn" :thumb:

9 for me. As I've already said, fuck knows how many times I've played it, but it's still on the stereo here at work, and at home and on my walkman. I Told You So has totally grown on me, and I don't dislike Dracula's Castle half as much as I did on first few plays, though the title is foowkin awful.

Preferred playing order :

Turn, Road To Ruin, WFTSC, Krafty, Lordsy, Working Late, Morning Night and Day,  ITYS, Jetstream, Guilt, Count Ducky.

I've said it before, the album is shit hot. Only Technique hits the Magic 10 for me though.

'9'

T1, 3, 9 & 10 now cherish in the stately home of classic NO songs. For that, I voted a magic '9'.

T11 negates full marks, and the continuity of quality is disrupted in part by T5.

Shunter's summary contains some cursing, but it is indeed spot on.

Largely in agreement with H, except about track 5.

I chose 7 but would have gone for 7.5 if I had the option.

9.  will probably be #2 behind Technique for me.  It's the best of each album.  SO much better than Get Ready for me.  Fave is Morning, Day, & Night.  I'm really liking the campy pop tracks.. Jetstream, I Told You So, and Krafty.  Dracula's Castle is great.  Guilt is almost as good as Someone Like You (2nd best on Get Ready, behind Crystal IMO).  Get Ready didn't have anything in the style as good as Turn, WFTSC, or HNWYD.  Rock the Shack wasn't quite as good as Working Overtime (and I really like Rock the Shack).

Love it already!

I gave it a 9, but the more I listen, the better it sounds. Currently 9.5.
