Right come on, all the people who downloaded the album (legally... or not in most cases:D )

Who got off their arses and BOUGHT the album?

As one of the one's who was luckily enough to get the album when it "broke" I had my man servant Baldrick pick me up a copy this morning. £9.77 in Asda. Nice.

The album is exactly the same as the downloaded version, and that's good enough for me, the sound is quite a lot clearer. So the neighbours have been suffering since 11 this morning ;)

I may have said it before, but the album is Sheeet Hot. Rock on Tommy.

I downloaded it illegally as soon as it appeared on the net

I got my copy on saturday when HMV delivered it to me

My Sirens are arriving next week probably, ordered the album from Amazon. I don't think I'll see the album in Serbian shops before May though.

CDWhen? :D

Nope not a sausage (roll) from Asda, Rocket. Yer Birthday Present and Card should be with you the morra;)

Just hope everyone who downloaded gets to the shops, as much as the singles chart is GASH, the album charts are a slightly different story.

Didn't download it, but only because of my technical inability to do so!

A fellow Aus NOOLer (with sufficient nous to navigate the technical wizardry required to access it) burnt me a copy and sent it to me in feb...to a rapt response, I might add. Bought it today deep in suburban Melbourne, along with Krafty and Shaun of the Dead on DVD.

I haven't rushed out to the shops just yet, but I do intend to get my copy as soon as I can.  Might even do a £9.77 Asda job like you Shug  but I have no servant to go!  Damn.  Of course, I downloaded all the various M4A/MP3s as soon as they became available but I also shelled out an outrageous amount for a genuine promo copy of the album from EIL   So I basically already have the album, but I'm eager to do my bit for the band's chart rankings and add my "1 copy sold" plus to see what the CD booklet contains (Let's hope it's better than GR's dismal one)

It's a strange grey day up here in North East Scotland.  Even stranger day for music (music that I like anyway)  A fantastic "new" New Order album, a new Morrissey single, and the tragic news that Paul Hester from one of my favourite bands, New Zealander's Crowded House hanged himself in apparent suicide :(  Poor chap, RIP.

I got sent a dodgy pre-release copy by one kind person, and just got my official copy today. Nice pics inside the CD cover. Especially that rabbit.

Despite my well documented dislike of most of the 'songs' (and I use that term loosely) on the album, I made my way through the relentless Scottish drizzle into Edinburgh and bought a copy at HMV to ensure it counted towards the chart. On returning to Muff Towers, WFTSC and Turn were duly dispatched onto the ol' ipod for my listening pleasure. The cd has since been filed with the rest, and i'm certain that's where it will stay till my dying day.

For 'sufficient nous and technical wizardry', insert 'having it dished up on a plate'. Ask him where got it, go on. Even better, ask him who found it...

Only joking, dc... ;)

The official item is now in my possession.

Is A. Lynch another name for Ana Matronic?

The Amazon cover boats are not in fact in Key West.

It is indeed!  Her real name's Ana Lynch.  As for the album itself, I don't have my copy yet but I intend to go get it ASAP.  I haven't downloaded any of it either, not even from the legal sources: I don't want to spoil the surprise for myself!

She has co-writing credit on track 8.

Well, the non-Ana Matronic version of Jetstream doesn't have all her part in it, so she probably added 1 line or 2 on her own...

Holy Blueballs, Batman. I had to disable the Passive FTP protocol on the web browser to download those m4a's correctly. I know it wasn't bolting microwave ovens to satellites but it did take some minor know how. OK, very minor. As for who found it, well, some cat Rollinice on SoulSeek was the original source I believe.

Sheesh.

As for the original issue, I downloaded the album quite early on and was probably the first person in this state to buy it legally yesterday. Hey, I may have been one of the first punters in the southern hemisphere to own an official version. And I've got the vinyl on order. So the 'downloaders are killing sales' argument doesn't wash with me.

I'm beginning to think DC and H are really the same person.

I think it's obvious every member of this forum will buy the album. Though I had listened to the downloaded copy dozens of times, I just couldn't wait to buy the real thing, and I'm happy now I have and I can listen to it thousands more times with better sound quality and artwork!. :thumb:

Actually, I'm seriously considering going to the local HMV see if they have an import copy, I'm that impatient, I know I have one for me coming in the mail this week

Patsy you conspiratorial son-of-a-gun.

Surely my spelling leaves Huckler's back in the swamp.

Now, after four fiendish hours of thought, I shall attempt to answer your musical poser on the other thread.

Can't let this one go without pointing out that both Hester and Seymour were Aussies. Admittedly Neil Finn is from one of our small eastern islands, but the band wasn't technically a Kiwi group.
