Very brief review. Someone told us it was in the Sun. Any news?

I can’t believe New Order would stoop to the red tops in an effort at selling records. This wouldn’t have happened in the Factory days, or during punk.

All that was once lived is now mediated. Expect gig cancellations in favour of “on the couch in MTV2” recordings.

Gotta be a good thing, right? What's the circulation of The Sun - about 8 million? Whereas left-liberal bible "The Guardian" shifts about 450,000 daily.....

Here's the review by Gavin Martin  in the Mirror:

"Hooky and Barney may look like they have been training at a Manchester pie factory, but this is the album that reasserts New Order's innovative spirit.  The variety and wit on display here will thrill those who found 2001's comeback Get Ready a little too plain".

Well that's the first time i've read 'pie' and 'innovative' in the same review since Mr Kipling released his blackberry & custard tarts.

*Hey I really agree with this review! :thumb:

I didn't find Get Ready too plain, but the variety of this album is indeed really exciting...

BTW Gavin Martin has been at NME for years so he's not a second rate journo even if he today writes for a popular newspaper...

Al can you write us something from the Sun review too plaese?
