Maverick Records to Release Soundtrack for "HOUSE OF WAX" Soundtrack to Feature Music by The Prodigy, My Chemical Romance, Deftones Hitting Stores on May 3 LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/05/2005 -- "HOUSE OF WAX," the re-imagining of the 1953 horror classic, is set to hit theatres nationwide on May 6th. The soundtrack for "HOUSE OF WAX" will be released May 3rd on Maverick Records and will feature cutting edge tracks from The Prodigy, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson and others (see full track listing below.)

The soundtrack weaves together the intricate electronic punk beats of The Prodigy, the raw powerful emotion of My Chemical Romance and the intense melodic vibe of the Deftones with a suspenseful storyline that heightens the horror of this edge-of-your-seat action thriller.

"HOUSE OF WAX," stars Elisha Cuthbert, Chad Michael Murray, Brian Von Holt, Paris Hilton, Jared Padalecki, Jon Abrahams and Robert Ri'chard.

What begins as a weekend getaway for six friends becomes a terrifying fight for their lives in "HOUSE OF WAX," an exciting re-imagining of the 1953 horror classic from Dark Castle Entertainment and producers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis.

A road trip to the biggest college football championship of the year takes a turn for the worse for Carly (Elisha Cuthbert), Paige (Paris Hilton) and their friends when they camp out for the night before heading to the game. A confrontation with a mysterious trucker at the camp site leaves everyone unsettled while Carly has her hands full keeping the peace between her boyfriend Wade (Jared Padalecki) and her hot-headed brother Nick (Chad Michael Murray).

They wake up the next morning to find that their car has been deliberately tampered with. At the risk of being stranded, they accept a local's invitation for a ride into Ambrose, the only town for miles. Once there, they are drawn to Ambrose's main attraction -- Trudy's House of Wax, which is filled with remarkably life-like wax sculptures. But as they soon discover, there is a shocking reason the exhibits look so real.

As the friends uncover the town's dark secrets, they are stalked by a demented killer and find themselves in a bloody battle for survival. The group must find a way out of Ambrose -- or become permanent additions to the "HOUSE OF WAX."

The track listing for "HOUSE OF WAX" is as follows:

Oh good...Hollywood remakes ANOTHER horror movie. It's bad enough that all horror films are being remade (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, Suspiria, and on and on and on). That movie sounds just TERRIBLE. I veto it.

Suspiria?

Now that's something... probably one of the best horror movies I've ever seen...

Yes...they're remaking Suspiria. Stupid fucking idea, if you ask me. Not that your average white person has ever heard of it anyway, so it doesn't have a long-standing reputation (like Texas Chainsaw Massacre) that would help pull in the curious younger generation of teenyboppers who know fuck all about cult movies. I want Hollywood to remake something really terrifying like Pasolini's "Salo."

Sounds like a shitty film with a shitty soundtrack I have no idea why they put JD amongst all those mediocre bands

You should check out the original film with Vincent Price and Carolyn (Morticia Addams) Jones. Great film.

Agreed. It's hard to imagine a House of Wax without Vincent Price. I mean, who is Hollywood going to dig up for that role? Vince Vaughn?! :nonono:
