Just read the NYTimes article where Bernard lists what he's into right now.

Made me think of an article I read years ago where Bernard, Steve and Gillian list their fave songs (from what I can remember, it was early 90s):

As a PSB fan thats Paninaro -o - oh.

Paninaro, great track, inspired by a mid-80s fashion thing happening in Italy... "Panino" means sandwich and it just referred to adolescents meeting in Mc Donald's after school and wearing only expensive fashion stuff like A-a-armani... it was the youngest version of the yuppie "movement"... totally high classist crap, actually, but it had some sick charm... The favourite bands of the Paninaros were Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet, that's why they're still hated today, though Duran Duran were a great band until Notorious...

Which is why Working Overtime on the new album is a parody of Iggy and the Stooges' "1969" then I guess.....
