I just heard the first bit of advertising for NO's aussie tour on one of Sydneys biggest commercial radio stations.

I think its finally sinking in that I'm actually gonna see them live for the very first time.

I hope its worth the wait. I'm sure it will be. Only 27 more sleeps.

Agreed - 'tis very exciting. Do you have a wish-setlist, Ahmad? CTD

My wishlist

I've included a few new songs as I'm sure they'll play a few of them.

True Faith, Perfect Kiss, Ceremony, Temptation, Leave Me Alone, Paradise, Angel Dust, Dream Attack, 1963, Regret, Crystal, Primitive Notion, 60mph, New Dawn Fades and Atmosphere.

What about you CTD?

Wow - you pretty much read my mind there, Ahmad. I'd also love to hear Face up, but other than that, you've pretty much covered them. New Dawn Fades would be fantastic if NO chose to do it, but I'd be happy with the 'new' take on Transmission. CTD

New Dawn Fades is by far my favourite JD song. I downloaded a live version of it a while ago and it really goes off live, so I'd love to hear it. I don't know that NO do play it live though.

When will 60mph be released?

I was wondering how this Big Day Out thing was gonna pan out?

Are the Order gonna play 3rd fiddle to Garbage and the Prodge on all dates. Or just 2nd fiddle to the Prodge? Or are all three bands perhaps gonna interchange starting order at different venues?

Anyone know?

Yer a lucky bastard Mr. Jarvis! i spent the whole of February and the first week of March in Sydney this year, you'll have a ball.

Worth checking out : the bar at the front of Home down on Darling Harbour (best view from a pub in the world!). Wednesdays at GoodBar on Oxford Street (crackin' turntablist night). "Scandinavian Night", Tuesdays at World Bar Bayswater Road (if you wanna get your leg over with a Swedish backpacker).

Worth avoiding : getting pished and trying to score some gear from the "traders" who hang about Kings Cross. Always shite.

Yeah, I was in Sydney last year, around Feb/March too. Just caught the last week of the Mardi Gras, but once you've seen one Dyke on a Bike, you've seen 'em all. Sloped off from the parade to watch ManYoo-Liverpool in a boozer instead.

Not such a lucky b*stard - am paying for the Mrs to come too and it's set me back a small fortune!!

Gordie and Mark, who were at Pad that night, are going over as well.

Don't tell me you missed the Madonna/Ali G float at last year's Mardi Gras. Fuckin' Ace!

Can't say I did catch that one.

Did you find that all Aussie bar staff were Scottish, G.? Cracked me up. We met one girl in Home - as you said, a quality venue - and it turned out she lived 12 doors down from a mate of mine from Edinburgh, who was over with us. Bloody Jocks all over the place.

60mph will be released in Australia on the 14th of January.

Yeah but the jocks are far outnumbered by the micks in Sydney wouldn't you say? Being half and half I felt quite at home.

Swings and roundabouts. We're outnumbered by bloody Kiwis in our place ! Smashing bunch though.

Quite funny, the Oz attitude towards the Oirish. Had an Aussie 'girlfriend' (extended one-night stand) my entire time there, and her and her mates were all, like, 'You have to go out with an Irishman at some point in your life'. Reckoned women get treated extra-special by an Irishman, but then he'd probably have it away with your best friend at the same time. Reckoned all Irish women were Slags, too. Strange.

Not sure which stage NO gonna be at...but one thing for sure, you've gotta run to there well before the band starts coz it'll get very squishy....and the set's gonna be pretty short...maybe even 35 minutes or 40 minutes??!!!

NO will be playing an hour set and there on before the Prodigy yes there on after Garbage etc second last act not bad
