Ok, seems I never noticed this, but it's been going on for a while, although it was impossible for someone to vote twice in the same poll, for possibly 9 months, some people managed to find that it actually raised the vote count anyways...

I just noticed this today, when I saw one of our members did like 20 errors in a row on the "Election 2005" poll in the off-topic forum...

So I investigated further, and yes, the Waiting For The Sirens' Call Survivor results were wrong because some idiots cheated.

So if I check clearly, let's see what's the truth, and what was not...

Elimination History:

Day 1: Working Overtime >> OK Day 2: I Told You So >> OK Day 3: Jetstream >> OK Day 4: Dracula's Castle >> OK Day 5: Hey Now How You Doing >> WRONG - Was Morning Night And Day Day 6: Krafty >> WRONG - Was Guilt Is A Useless Emotion Day 7: Waiting For The Sirens' Call >> WRONG - Was Morning Night and Day Day 8: Morning Night and Day >> WRONG - Was Guilt Is A Useless Emotion Day 9: Guilt Is A Useless Emotion >> OK

So basically some idiot (and I won't name them, you know who you are, so do I) cheated and the results were all fake..

I told you all that I managed to vote last weektwice. At least I think that's what I did. I just came up unticked, so I ticked it again. You never came back to me about it.

Not deliberate fraud, I just wanted to see what would happen. Only did it once though.

Well, I thought the crash was safe enough, but since I removed the transaction in the process, it was updating the vote count anyways.

I must say I was impressed by the amount of votes we were getting... if you go and check back, it's a lot more modest now...

The FBI has just located several dozen crates on the shores of Florida! Reports say that they are packed-to-bursting with GIAUE and Turn ballots!

Name and shame Nicos.

You've gotta be quite sad to vote twice in the first place:lol:

So, do we start AGAIN from day 5?

Must be the stupidest internet fraud i ve evere heard of. Nothing to gain, (no serious motivation), too easy for the administator to notice both the fraud and its culpables, in 2 words so much fuss for absolutely nothing. If it wasnt a (stupid as well) joke or something, the whole thing deserves an award for setting a new record  :evil4: .

I'm a bit relieved now. Couldn't understand how that song survived that long.

:nonono: Keep trying, Dc - one of them is bound to end up getting a laugh.

It was Ronny the Kaiser - not this little brown bear...

I'm not so happy with that immunity thing as you all might have noticed already. I mean, it's pretty obvious we all are not awaken at the same time of day/night and to make myself more precise most of these survivor threads were posted by the time I was preparing to go home after work, which is exactly the same time Jeff has just come back from his work and there he is waiting for Nicolas to post a new survivor thread to give Guilt an immunity. Does it really make that song the best one on the album just because one man is giving it immunity every single day? Nothing against Jeff personally, don't get my words wrong ...

Just because a song gets immunity, it doesn't mean it will be the one going...

I used to post this at my lunch break, this is why it happens.. but it doesn't care too much since the last "3" is without immunity...

i never understood why we had immunity anyway - it gives 1 vote far more credence than the rest of the votes

:bag: :stupid:

The "election 2005" votation was done on purpose as it would be clear enough to see there was something wrong with the polls.

Sorry people.

Well, it's called "Survivor" because it's based on the reality game show... which has immunity...

As simple as that.

So you don't like Jeff now - is that it?

Give JEFF immunity!

The contest should pick up from day 7, when MND was voted out again - YES! Now this poll makes much more sense to me. Oh, and there should be no immunity, ever!

In the TV show, immunity is earned.

I think a simple series of votes, survival of the fittest, is more appropriate.
