I downloaded the song Haystack from Audio Galaxy back in the wild frontier days. It said New Order, and it sounded like New Order, but it had a different singer.

Does anyone have this track? (and possibly want to send it to me?) Where's it from?

Uh, never mind. Just before I finished typing my first post I thought, I bet this info is somewhere on this site. But I had already written it so I thought I might as well post it. And then I thought ...ah, um

Never heard of it! I'm sure it must be good though if it sounds like New Order.

I have heard that "Madonna" and "Sugarcane" are quite rare, as well. Nevertheless, someone please send them to me as soon as humanly f*cking possible.

Regards.

It IS good...if you like early new order. I can't think of another song of theirs that sounds like it. Probably closest to PC&L...

Haystack has Kevin Hewick (is that how you spell his last name?) on vocals. It was during the period when New order where looking for a vocalist I believe. Its an interesting song, personally I don't really find Kevin Hewick a great vocalist. Good song nevertheless.

Well one of the rarest would have to be the other song Kevin Demo'd with New Order at the same session(s) I remember mailing him for more details, but everyone knows what my memory is like and I've forgotten the name of the track:nonono: I do know he reworked it in the late 80's early 90's.

A Piece of Fate. Not entirely sure about the last word in the song title, my memory is as emmentaled as yours Shug!

Correct - Piece Of Fate.

He said he thought he still had the c90 of the session, with both songs and some general jam / rehearsal type stuff on.

You never know - he might find it one day. Here's hoping.
