Britney's pregnant!

Why are you keeping it a secret? That is why we visit these message boards; so we can get "inside" and "secret" information before the gen. public ever does?

Does it have to do with New Order???

Yes it does, but you have to read between the lines. Britney met the M1 a couple months ago!

...this is no doubt going to be about his Joy Division cover band playing some more tiny venues at a Pub near you.

More pub talk.

I don't care if you are gay, Tim. Really.

So what big changes is the new pope going to introduce to church music? Or is this not the announcement?

Bernard's pregnant, I knew it.

New Order is playing in the Vatican at the Pope's Release party????

Trying to get confirmation from my contact, who has been strangely absent from both e-mail and phone over the last 24 hours. I honestly can't say if I am allowed to reveal the news yet, when I set up the thread in the first place it was because I was of the understanding that I would be able to release it what is now yesterday, but I am still awaiting that release confirmation.

Maybe your contact saw the writing on the wall and legged it.

All I can say is that there is a Nirvana connection likely to happen for some NOOL regulars in the near future.

FFS Rob - I have already stated elsewhere in this thread that I cannot reveal what was going to be said until I get permission to do so. I had expected this to be granted on Wednesday, hence the heads up, and in retrospect it was probably a bit too soon.

What's the problem? Oldmonkey has offered to pass us a tip when he receives permission to do so. It's not his fault that he hasn't received the go ahead. Some of you are acting as if he owes you. WTF?

I'm waiting for the announcement more than anybody else on this board, and if I can wait, so can everybody else. Let's just all have some patience, shall we?

I propose that this thread be hijacked at once.

STAND AND DELIVER!

well, no, most folks would wait til they had the info before posting and wasting the time of over 2000 views... cause you walk into the forum and you see BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW and you see it was posted last week, and so you figure, "cool, let me check out what this big news is!"

and then you read through three full pages to find out there IS NO ANNOUNCEMENT.

An idea for the future: Post news when you get it and can reveal it.... i mean, why couldn't you wait a day???

Not a hard thing to do. A bit like being able to last in bed longer than 2 minutes.... patience is a virtue...

(but hey, it sure helps get the post count up to post non-existing news!)

The news is NOT that New Order are playing Seattle, because they aren't. Repeat they are NOT PLAYING SEATTLE.

It had nothing to do with anywhere they might or might not be playing.

I think the hint is that it doesn't concern you and I but just the individual members of Digital (bravo!) and possibly the members of the moderators forum ... us, and the general hoi polloi, shouldn't be concerned with such matters of enormity.

OK, now I'm devastated; it was beginning to look like I might get to see New Order in this lifetime after all. Ah well, at least I can exhale now.

Blue, it may not be as simple as you think. It is now past midnight in the UK, which means that today is Monday. No announcement tommorrow therefore means that the news will not be being announced on TUESDAY on this side of the Atlantic. Over where you are, tomorrow is still Monday, so you will not be getting the news earlier than we won't.

Perhaps we should give Monkey a call for clarification. Anyone got his number?

I feel quite relieved, however, knowing that we all won't be receiving such breathtaking news tomorrow, together.

Tim, it's not an assumption. You've already posted the info elsewhere, in the moderators' forum. Whilst it's good news for you and your boys I don't see how the general people of NOOL can get worked up as much about this. Congratulations may well be in order for your good selves but you've got people here thinking this is New Order related, which it's patently not. That's all.

But no I haven't, at no stage have I ever said that it was New Order related. The original post was, somewhat tongue in cheek, that there I would be making "a major announcement tomorrow", and several people have decided for themselves that this was a new New Order gig (like it would be me announcing this.....).

On the Moderator's Forum, when pressed by one of the Moderators, I gave a reply of sorts that not only omitted a lot of crucial detail that was still to be clarified, like the extent of involvement, but also led everyone up the wrong path. That was for those eyes only, and at least I know who to trust now!

The bottom line is that no, Digital won't be playing Seattle, and nor will New Order. Never at any stage did I say either we were or they were!

As soon as I get confirmation of what will be happening (and no, all you american assholes who keep e-mailing me and nagging to be told the answer, you know who you are, it does not concern New Order), it will be posted.

In retrospect: a) it should have been posted in the off-topic section b) it should never have been posted c) I should never bother posting anything. The aggro I have had from one prick in particular just ain't worth the hassle.
