First things first, it appears as though our hopes for tour dates are officially dashed. At this stage, predictably, the best hope for gigs lies with 2006 BDO. Damn.

The Australian Jetstream CD Single will feature this tracklisting:

  1. Radio Edit
  2. Jacques Lu Cont Remix
  3. Richard X Remix
  4. Tom Neville Remix
  5. Arthur Baker Remix
  6. Original

Local release date is May 30.

Good news on the Lu Cont remix. It sounds like the UK CD will have a similar tracklist, with the video subbed in for the radio edit. This suggests that the UK will get the 2-disc release again, as per Krafty.

Thanks to Nick at Warner AU.

HMV UK now has an entry for pre-sale of Jetstream. The artwork's up but only a provisional tracklist. Price is GBP3.49 so perhaps the 2-track CDS and vinyl are yet to come.

J-E-T!

BDO 2006 that's what I've been saying all along. They may do a couple of extra gigs in Sydney & Melbourne again.

Just where do you get your info from re gigs & releases?

Ron it was a no-brainer that the 2006 BDO was always a possibility, ala 2002. But there were some discussions with the band to get them here this year, believe me. In light of their congested schedule it hasn't worked out. This all comes from Warner Music Australia.

To be honest I'd prefer not to have to do yoof festivals again to see them but if that's what it takes to get them back, so be it. Just make sure we all buy all the local releases of their stuff and try to get more radio support.

I do my best. As I said there might be a couple of seperate gigs again like last time.

You're quite lucky living where you do, you can take your pick of which major city gigs to attend.

Well, lucky in that respect anyways.

Yeh I'll go down and hassle CTB after I do Sydney.

edit : Nic really needs to fix that e-mail tag...

That's nearly as funny as me getting my own e-mail address wrong...

Try again, it's mutually beneficial.

Do you mean Sydney the city, or a person called Sydney, Ronny? I'm not sure I want to be second in line if the latter is the case...:uhoh: To answer your question earlier, the contact Dc and I have is a fella called Nick at Warner Australia, and a good man he is. Tolerant too, as he appears to put up with Dc.

And while I'm discussing the beardy man: Dc, that's a bugger about the rumoured tour (BDO '06 suits me better than them touring while I'm in France and UK anyway :thumb: ) - but good news about the Jetstream mixes. So far my fave is the Arthur Baker one, although it does contain sounds that closely resemble a 'battery low' bleep on my mobile phone - most disconcerting. CTB :bear:

Had the same thought about that beep - it's genuine Nokia for sure!

I'll go for the seperate gigs myself, unless the lineup for BDO '06 is good.

Seeing them in their own right is always gonna be the best way, but BDO '06 is an OK compromise. Look forward to making travel/accommodation arrangements bit closer to time Ron.

Sheesh, how does your email arrive in the Channel Islands OB? Seagull?

I await your 'mutually beneficial' scheming.

Well my inbox was still empty when I left work...

Shouldn't worry. I think the moment has passed now. The exclusivity I was going to offer turns out not to be that exclusive after all.

Don't know any chicks callled Sydney. All I meant mas to do the Sydney leg of the New Order tour, one or 2 concerts, and then perhaps go down to Melbourne and do a couple gigs there, catch up with my family, and perhaps finally actually catch up with CTB at a gig. It's always more fun to do a gig with fellow fans.

Then you're missing out:

But don't be a stranger when you're in Melbourne though, CTB's good for a beer AND a museum pass. BYO flea powder however.

The strange thing is that he only lives about 10 min from my brother's place, and in the time that I've known him through NOOL, I've been down there about 3 times and he always had to go of digging somewhere.

Is that what he told you, eh?

"Love to have a beer with you Ronny but I'm stuck up in Wagga Wagga de-soiling a Paleolithic numbat ... Maybe next time, my buy ... Make sure you call first though, mate! *BEEP BEEP* HEY! GET OFF THE ROAD JULIO, LYGON STREET'S THE NEXT LEFT! ... Ummm ... You still there Ronald? Yeah, as I said mate, I'm stuck in the country till - how long are you down for again?"

:nonono: I thought this level of character assassination was reserved for emailing , Dc - still, I'm grateful for the attention...

Ron, I apologise if it appears a brush-off, that's not my intention; I'm sure you understand my PhD (which requires some fieldwork) and working part-time keep me busy.

Dc's nose is just out of joint as I may have left our meet-up early in order to get home in time for 'Iron Chef':evil4:

Oh, and by the way, are you sure the Sydney you are going to 'do' is not....

I humbly apologise if my post was taken the wrong way CTB. Perhaps the gag was too black for its own good. Ronny, you can be sure that CTB will provide you with effervescence of both wit and suds if you ever catch up for a Melbourne Order.

I'm going back to banana jokes.

Don't be daft, Dc - no need for apology. Are you likely to do the capital circuit if the BDO tour comes off? I must owe you a few more beers by now, what with that sirens parcel in Feb...

Will certainly consider multiple cities if anything eventuates on that front, CTB. Especially if they do the legendary Perth-Bunbury-Kalgoorlie trek. See you there.
