Who will take Ana Matronic's vocal spot in live renditions of Jetstream?

Unless she or Dawn turn up for the big festivals, it will be taped, or most probably not performed at all.

I thought about it not being performed at all but how could they really get away with that? When they start gigging this summer Jetstream will technically be their latest single and for a band not to perform their latest single that may have convinced a chunk of the crowd to attend, that's pretty daft promotion.
Dawn Zee seems like the most likely candidate, she'll probably be very chuffed graduating from soulful moans to an actual lyric or two this tour ;) Failing that Ana Matronic could appear and have a Sonny & Cher moment with Barney. Will his monkey dancing and whooping charm Ms. Matronic I wonder?
Jetstream live is an interesting if apprehensive prospect, depending on how much Pernod he's had.

How was jetstream played live at the canal? Was ana there, or was it taped? I never saw or heard the song. I love hear it sometime though, was it good?
from what was written about the canal performance, i think barney actually sang ana's parts...? i could be wrong. ![]()

I didn't hear this performance myself plus alot of Barney's and Ana's parts are sung in unison. I was just wondering if the band are going to revert Jetstream to a "Barney backed by Barney" effort as was featured in one of the early premix versions or are they going to roll out another vocalist / slap on an "Ana" tape.

The less pre-recorded bits the better, especially given their reliance on them already...e.g., WFTSC Canal+ performance.
man, how does that promo version sound? Does anyone have it? I'm mean, we've all heard ana really helps the song. But I still want to hear barney by himself. Maybe it would sound better as just barney live? Ana parts should be substituted with some awesome guitar-ness.![]()
If Ana does appear, what are the odds the NO crew will 'out of habit' have rigged up a special autocue for her? ![]()
Dawn Zee will probably be there - there are quite a few songs with backing vocals likely to be on the setlist.
The promo version features Bernard only...
The idea of bringing Ana and make it as a duet is Jacques Lu Cont's.
So Bernard will simply do it all, like the promo.

It's because the song wasn't written as a duet.. it's always the same person singing..
Of course adding Ana Matronic changed that, but you need to consider that it wasn't meant to be that way in Bernard's head.

They've done it before though. Here To Stay was supposed to get an airing in 2002 but got shelved. Brutal became the "new" song.
