Which CD has the "Round and Round" 12" Version?

I searched through the discography on NOOL and thought I found it - I knew it wasn't the detroit mix, or the club mix, or any of the dubs- it's the 12" Vocal version, the first track on my US 12" Vinyl. NOT "Round & Remix" - but the 3" CD maxisingle I just got had the club mixes on it RATS.

So please help - where can I find that 12" version on CD? It's the one where Barney adds backup vocals for the chorus - he backs himself up with a higher harmony. My Vinyl is getting old and I'd like a digital update!

(BTW I thought it might be on the 4-track US promo CD, but someone sniped me for it on ebay, curse you!)

Jahn, i have an extra copy of the CD single if you have something to trade ie. 7"s or the CD single for EGG.

Thanks everyone - I'll check out that link when i get home (cant listen to tracks at work) and confirm that that is the one. If it's a clean version on international 2, i'll just have to hold out and scour for it!

Edit - it looks like International 2 only has this version of Round and Round on it -

i'll do a bit more research before trying that UK import single and hope track 3 is the one I'm thinking of! just fyi, is that link above the same as the track 3 12" version?

i think a better route to go is to pick up a cheap/used turntable and find yourself a copy of the 12". you could find it on ebay pretty easilly, and once in a while in used record bins. plus starting up your very own NO vinyl collection is lots of fun

Yep I have a turntable and the vinyl of this mix - but it's scratchtastic! I'd like a nice clean copy of this.

Is the Ben Grosse Mix known as the Detroit Mix? Because it's on the 3" CD - the one that plays the beat backwards, right? I have that on vinyl too - the one with the big question mark on the spindle label.

Always assumed that the "Club Mix" is the "Ben Gross Mix" (i.e. the one on the 12" promo), but never bothered to get it to double check.

On the UK 3" CD single (Facd263r), the tracks are as follows:

1. Round & Round (Club Mix) [mixed by Ben Grosse & Kevin Saunderson] (7:09)
2. Round & Round (Twelve Inch Mix) [mixed by Ben Grosse] (6:51)
3. Round & Round (Detroit Mix) [mixed by Kevin Saunderson] (6:28)

Which replicates the tracks of that 12" promo (Fac263dj)!

BTW folks, that link to the original 12" version posted above is the one I'm talking about - great, now I know exactly what to hunt for! BTW that quality of that rip sounds like my vinyl- scratchy poppy and skippy lol.

I may be wrong but isn't track two on the UK CD 3" Round & Remix also the Ben Grosse Remix, as found in the New Order Discogrophy. It states a time of 6:52, however I think thats it.

I just dug out my 3" CD and it is indeed the following:

On the UK 3" CD single (Facd263r), the tracks are as follows:

1. Round & Round (Club Mix) [mixed by Ben Grosse & Kevin Saunderson] (7:09)
2. Round & Round (Twelve Inch Mix) [mixed by Ben Grosse] (6:51)
3. Round & Round (Detroit Mix) [mixed by Kevin Saunderson] (6:28)

None of which are the 6:50 "12" Version" that I just ordered from the link above. Ironic that that is the one i like the best.

Anyhow, it looks like "2. Round & Round (Twelve Inch Mix) [mixed by Ben Grosse] (6:51)" is what folks call the "Ben Grosse Mix" so I guess it's on CD after all.

I suppose the "Extended Version" is essentially the same as the "Original 12" even though there is five seconds more on the "Extended Version".

R&R mixes and remixes were always the hardest to keep up with!

Yup, it is on the UK 3" CD, though as well - track 2, as posted above (as both Jahn and Lake Effect have stated)! :)

Most of the time, the time listed in the Discography is the time shown on the label - unless it differs "too much". I don't recall if the CA CD5 has tracktimes on the sleeve, but that could be the reason for this entry...
