Wednesday, Apr.27: Kevin Nealon, Joe & Gavin Maloof, Musical guests New Order

Jimmy Kimmel Live! 12:05/11:05c

But according to my TV guide, ABC has "paid advertising" at this time... so please be a nationwide broadcast and don't forget people in Vermont.

BTW, saying it's Wednesday is kind of edgy, as 12:05 will be Thursday.... EST

It seems it does not play over here on our ABC...

Its on here at 1:05am on ABC And 12:05am on Access.

Check that.

I looked and it seems Jimmy Kimmel is on "Star TV", whatever that is, at 5pm daily...

Why does the local ABC station not carry the show... quite stupid, they don't want to fight against letterman and leno at the same time? :nonono:

I might have luck...

420 ABC Seattle

That is available here... I guess I have to subscribe to the damned channel, but what the hell.

Too bad I don't have HD-TV, because 651 ABC* HD Detroit (WXYZ) is also available.

Any word on what song or perhaps songs they will be playing?

Yeah, Kimmel is a stay-up-late affair, unless you want to record and play for the AM.

Enjoy!

You mean 12:35 EST?

It's on here at 11:35pm CT, which would make it on at 12:35am EST, correct?

I am going to this show... I'll post the setlist when we get out. I'm expecting 4-5 songs, as is normal for the late night shows. Only 1-2 songs actually make it to broadcast.

Is anyone going to record this and make available on the web? :bow2:

The 3rd message is the info I cut and pasted from www.abc.com directly... 12:05/11:05

I know I will... and it will be complicated, I might have to use a tape unfortunatly since it's only on the numeric cable over here and my capture card is on the analog one.

I am going to DVR the show. We can possibly edit it and record it onto DVD.

Is anyone else going?

I'm taping it. I could mail you a copy if you'd like?

I wonder when the show is recorded...

It's live.

It's not live. It's taped in the evening (6:15 pm doors open) and broadcast in the late night.

When did Jimmy Kimmel Live stop being live?

When Janet Jackson's boob scared the white people into making live tv a rarity.

This here is the streaming archive for Kimmel's show:

http://abc.go.com/primetime/jimmykimmel/concert/streaming.html

and they already have Tuesday's act up there (Blue Merle) so NO should be up tomorrow or soon after.

Doesn't work in Firefox, can anyone else see it ok?

Colin

EDIT: Works OK in IE, but you have to sit through a bog roll ad first.

I plan on posting a direct rip from my DirecTivo unit on Eztree in the next few days if someone doesn't beat me to it. Will be an MPG2 file that should be playable on any media player or can be burned to DVD.

I'm recording it, I just plugged my digital receiver into my computer.

But go ahead, I know mine will be so-so because somehow the broadcast isn't perfect... but at least you'll see everything, but with a little interference I fear, I have no time to find what's causing this.

So it will be up tomorrow morning !

sounds like the guitars aren't too high in the mix... you couldn't even hear the phil's guitar break during the bridge.

Yea, the sound wasn't that great....but who gives a shit...Whoop!

Indeed.

I like that they keep that simple sequencer line going strong through the entire song when it's played live.

Love Will Tear Us Apart up next!

The cunts at ABC cut it off early :evil3:

The Bastards cut away from Love Will Tear Us Apart!

The sound was pretty bad but usually is for tv.

Well, their performance of krafty sucked. Its not that great of a song to start with, but their performance didn't do the recorded version justice. And B.Sumner still has the worst stage antics of all time. Fortunately, they did a very nice version of love will tear us apart.

Ah well.

The band were in good form tonight, with some nice footwork from Barney. :D

Is black that slimming or is Barney losing weight? Even since the promo shots for this album?

They need to pimp a different song from WFTSC other than Krafty. Turn would blow everyone away and they could do it without looking like shit. No sequenced electro noises, no taped backing vocals.

Yeah! They gave an encore performance and I noticed everytime Kimmel mentioned them (like 6 times) the crowd went unusually enthusiastic, not the typical "whoo..yayy clap". They got a mini tv spot on the show for their album on top of the 3 or 4 times Kimmel showed the album off. GREAT STUFF :thumb:

If you're going to run your business like factory, I'll have a copy.

Someone please at least put up a still.

Really nice of Barney to mention Ian Curtis, and New Order doing LWTUA for him. Really sucks that ABC cut the song in the middle of their performance!! Damn it!!!

Kimmel didn't come on here in my area until 11:35pm. It came on earlier in other parts of the country didn't it?

On Jimmy Kimmel:

"We'd like to do this for Ian Curtis, are singer out of Joy Division who died 25 years ago to this year. This is Love Will Tear Us Apart." -Barney

Just got back... they played...

Krafty LWTUA WFTSC Crystal Temptation WFTSC (retake) Transmission

Crowd was awesome!

FANTASTIC Performance!! It looked like they were really in the great mood and enjoying the show. I'm really even more excited about the upcoming concerts. :thumb:

Though as lots of you mentioned here it was really obnoxious of ABC to abrupt the broadcast that stupid way!!! :(

And Bernard and the others look great again!

Just went to the taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Late Night Show. New Order's first song they performed was Krafty. Then they closed the show with "Love will Tear Us Apart." Then they said they needed to rehearse a few more songs in front of an audience. They performed "Waiting For The Sirens' Call," "Crystal", "Temptation", "Transmission" and closed with "Waiting For The Sirens' Call"(a second time. It was great seeing them in such a small venue.

It was AWESOME!!!

After the show, Hook & Morris signed autographs in the alley for a few fans. I got my CD signed by both.

I wish I could have been there.
