Surprised by reviews for WFTSC...

Hi. I just joined this forum, but I´ve been a huge NO fan for as long as I can remember. I´ve got everything on vinyl and nearly everything on CD by NO. So thats wy I´m very surprised over the low points the new album gets in the press. I think It is there best album ever, after Technique of course. A few people say Get Ready is better than WFTSC??? I say listen to both these albums on headphones and you will be amazed!! Get Ready sounds old and dated compared to the sound of WFTSC. I think they are back on track again, thank god!!!

At first: Welcome to the forum . Here in germany "WFTSC" got mainly very positive reviews. Where are you from?

Here in Brazil too. Anda the review from Roling Stone is very positive about the album, also.

In Portugal a guy from Publico, a Portuguese reference newspaper almost asks the band and readers sorry for giving 6 out of 10 to WFTSC. He had said that album does not be worth of the bands past.

Everything I've seen in North America has been suprisingly strong. The Daily News gave a rave to it as well as (I believe) Details mag. and a bunch of others.

I've yet to see anything less than three stars here which plesantly surprised me.

It's nice because I probably would have given the album 2 stars when I first heard it and after listening to it for a month I'd give it 3 1/2. Definately a "grower" as many have said before and I'm glad the critics didn't give it resoundingly crap reviews before letting it grow on them as well.

I live in Stockholm, Sweden. But I like german beer. Again about WFTSC. On a scale from 1 to 5 I would give the album 4,5. One of the reasons for that is that the album feels homogenuos (bad spelling), not something that´s patched together. Here in sweden not many people like NO, but they seam to like mainstream rip-offs with a maximum career span of 5 years.
