Whats the chances of having a NewOrderOnline chat room?
Seeing as we all interact on here, it might be a nice idea to have a chat room with a time allocated for a chat or something....(perhaps a mid-week evening, when most people have nothing on)...
I've seen this work really effectively at other websites, and thought it might be a nice touch...
This can at least open the forum for discussion...

The chances of a permanent chat room are ZERO. It would have no meaning of having a message board online, then.
As for a special chat room only opened during a certain time, on a particular day, that might be interesting, although I still think it might be a bit pointless considering the existence of this forum. If there is a real demand for that, it wouldn't be a problem I guess.
The problem? TIME ZONES. If the perfect time for you to chat would be 8 PM, greenwich time, remember that it would be 3 PM for people living on the East Coast of North America, or noon for those living on the West Coast. And how about our dear Aussie or Japanese friends? The chat room would be opened in the middle of the night for them!

The Chat rooms I use on other sites (not New Order) are permanent fixtures, however are only really used at designated times, the message boards are always used (more posts than here). It doesnt take away the need for discussion on the boards, simply allows posters to get to know each other better...if anything, it increases the traffic on the boards, as more people post on topics which were raised in chat... Im not saying that it would definitely work here, but its only a suggestion....
Most chatrooms I use are "multi-cultural" and include people from all different time zones, there just has to be some organisation to ensure everyone can join in....often chats will continue over a long period of time, and then people from different time zones can pop in and out....
Well, anyways, its only a suggestion, but as I said i have seen it used very effectively on other sites, and all in all it has helped to build a stronger community online....(fuck me, i sound like a Coke advert....)
