Buster Klumpy, a long standing member of this arena entitled his cat 'Gillian', I don't think he has his own children yet so perhaps you are the first.

You could call your next offspring 'Rob Gretton' or just 'Factory'. Either way your never sad, you'd only be classed as sad if you were to call perhaps a dog 'James Saville' or a hamster 'Robot Jox'.

:hat:

Congratulations anyway!

My own son's middle name is Peter...but it is mere coincidence...unless Hooky is also named after the lad's grandfather....

Hunstman's right about the cat, of course...

Maybe we could call a goldfish Hooky...

nd, by the way, happy new year to you, Huntsmate...

I might name my forthcoming son/daughter "Peter Hook", or "PetHoo" for short, or "PeHo" for evenshorterstill.

I'd name my kid Ian, but he'd probably get beaten up....

Bernard's kind of a cruel name, because it gives other kids the license to call him "Barney". Other than frontmen for groundbreaking dance rock bands, it just sounds silly. Also there's an association made with the big purple dinosaur......

I think the name Barney is realy cool....I love older sounding names like that, like Alfie and Charley. My cousin has two kids called Lily and Archie. way cool.

Barney Rocks, excellent choice...

My sons are going to be called Eric, Ernest and Reginald, by far my three favourite male names. My daughters are going to be called nightly by potential suitors, as they will be the best looking girls in the town !

It never did me any harm. In today's paper was a list of the top 50 names, Ian didn't even make the list, when I was a lad, if you called out IAN half the room turned around.

I'm kind of in the same position, no one around here is named Trevor. I remember finding a book in the library titled Trevor, it was about a kid coming out of the closet. Yippee, just the sort of association I need for the ladies!

Ian is a cool name, but I'd end up doing "Ian Curtis Seigler" and he'd get called "Curtis", or Curt or even (God forbid) Kurt. All this naming business is a headache, really. My kid will be simply referred to as "Baby X"

My next door neighbour has just called her first girl Enya. (Her two brothers are called Clinton and Declan). Oh yes.

I used to teach a kid called Donovon Storm.. Gods honest truth... I always used to think he should be in a 60's group.....Donovon Storm and the Hurricanes?

Cheers all,

I will be wetting Barneys head (again) on Friday in Tiger Tiger - Birmingham UK - you are all welcome.

theres a free drink to all that come along - i will be the drunken fool with a silly chemical induced smile attempting to dance in a way that will already embarrass my junior.
