Does anyone have any information on this? Is this that album that had a demo floating around before Community? Is there a website I can order it from? Help. :)

You can see the details here:

and also have a listen to some audio clips.
Release date is 24th May 2005 and you can pre-order from the site.
Hope that helps

We are gonna create a paypal account anytime soon then it should be way easier for people living outside France to order it. I will keep you posted anyway.
i just listened to a bunch of the soundclips on the website...
save a few interesting interpretations (like the cover of "world"), most these covers are absolutely dreadful.

Okay. Good critic.
Could you just be more specific and explain me what make them "absolutely dreadful"? Does "absolutely dreadful" means "I dont like it" or is it something else? I am just being curious. Thanks Charles.
Some people are just not into tribute albums...
I still don't see too many flaws in Community, although it wasn't my own top 15 of course (hence why there is an EP!) but some people really didn't like it.
I respect their opinion, but it's not everybody's cup of tea it seems... I must admit that I don't listen too much to the tribute albums in general, I pick the songs I like and listen to those only.
My point is I find totally disrespectul that some guy might have the guts to write about someone's else work : "absolutely dreadful". Then I am just waiting for more interesting critics from Charles.
sure i'll elaborate. first i should apologize though; my initial response was kind of harsh. i realize a lot of people put their heart and souls into these covers and they should be commended for the efforts.
like spotnick said, some people just aren't into tribute albums, and i'm one of them. that doesn't mean that i can't enjoy a good cover once in a while. there are a few gems on this collection, like the Mango cover of "World" and the Eventide cover of "Ceremony." Kii No's take on "Age of Consent" is probably the best song on this collection.
But some of the songs make me ask the question "why?"... like Laura Van Dam's cover of "Turn My Way." She's not even singing in key. Some of the other tracks are kind of just "eh" ![]()
again, i apologize for the first comment i made. i haven't heard many tribute/cover albums that are very good, and i think that this is kind of mediocre. i'm sure all of these artists probably write fantastic original material though.
we're all entitled to our own opinions, aren't we?

Sure. No hard feelings. ;)

Yes, some people around here had a copy of the demos but that was before Community. The cd has changed a lot though : it's been masterised, the tracklist is different and you will find new groups (two of them coming the Community pre selection) on it.
