I picked up the NME yesterday..there was an ad for NEXT week's issue which said they would include 7 Joy Division posters.

It will come out NEXT WEEK in the UK and prob the following week for the rest of the world.

I don't know any more details.

Thanks for that - any info always useful! Now, will they be 'A3' size? How easy will it be to laminate them... etc!

Cheers

So, did this happen? Are the posters any good?

Six images, all in monochrome, with a brief comment by the photographers. Three are by Kevin Cummins and the others by snappers I've never heard of.

Stuck in the middle of the mag, easy to pull out and keep -don't tear them apart.

People whinge about Tony Wilson flogging Ian's corpse and the NME has been doing it much more efficiently for the past 25 years. The deification of Curtis ("a bit of a twat", according to those who knew him, recall) does the band and their music no favours, and also perpetuates the myth that he was the only one in the band who had any talent. How much longer before I actually glass some student who tells me that NO are shit and Curtis wrote all the songs....yaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnn.....

Given that there's just the two of us, I guess that makes it a unanimous decision?;)
