I think Barney's dancing and showmanship are some of the best elements of the band. The sense of humor and fun he adds to a live show is absolutely crucial in my eyes. One thing about NO is that they are a fun band - their music is just so good and enjoyable that hearing Barney whoop and seeing him dance makes it that much more fun for me. I always appreciate it when genius doesn't take itself too seriously and has a fun element to it, and because of things like Barney's dancing, nothing is more brilliant AND more fun than New Order. That's just my opinion on the matter.

Now I expect you lot to slate me for this... but I agree with a lot of what he's saying here. :( The guys just embarrassing now... he's an awful live performer, his lyrics are just the same shower of shite over and over again... And besides, it's already been made very clear that the latest album was done exactly how Barney wanted it. Hooky would make a much better frontman in my opinion.

Added to that, the band have properly sold out in recent years... miming all the fucking time. Can't be doing with that at all... the band have definitely lost a lot of credibility that they once had.

i don't understand what the fuck some of you really want. Musically, INHO New Order is now almost at their best. Barnie and Hooky are fat and they look sometimes ridiculous, Morris is frozen/bored. So what?? I don't care, and i don't give a shit if he dances, spin, do kicks, or whatever. They are still doing excellent records. So everything else, means nothing.

Well said. It takes someone from Argentina, a part of the world quite unlikely to see Barney whooping and dancing live, to add a bit of commentary that makes sense. It's about the music, people...nothing else matters. All you other twats can fuck off.

This thread is a disgrace. I find some of these negative posts about New Order offensive – they have no place on a fan site. Its one thing to criticize a particular track or performance, but some of you should really have a look at yourselves and ask what you are doing posting on here at all.

There are millions of other bands in the world - perhaps some of you should fuck off and find one you like instead of moaning about this one.

Spotnick, Seb, have you considered banning some of these arseholes that don't have a good word to say about the band? Alternatively, could you start a new forum entitled "I HATE NEW ORDER" that people who actually like the band could ignore?

It was the best New Order performance for ages, BARNEY's dancing was something special, I for one will certainly be practicing the moves. He is sublime when he's on the pop, full of confidence.

I suggest if you do not like New Order, log onto a CURE site of something, yer whining fucking maggots.

I've been a great fan of the band for over 20 years now, but the last performances were some kind of ridiculous, especially from Barney.

What's the thing with the teleprompter? He can't remember his own words and looks at it every second. This is so weird and uncool.

If New Order perform like this they better stop and let the fans their imagination of the glorious days.

What if their opinion is that people who don't like New Order should stay away from a New Order fan site?

I suspect that the New Order you love so much never actually existed, but nobody is forcing you to listen to their recent work.

I would love to see you express you oinions to the band in person. I think I could guess at what Hooky's response would be if you told him to retire!

How pathetic you sound. Yes, this is a fan site. And this, if I am wrong, is a forum, where people get to express their opinions. If you think that only positive opinions are allowed, then are you not aware of how forums work? You knob??

Heh, I have to admit I quite enjoyed watching this...some of my other comments were before actually viewing this...I believed the hype.

And glad that Bernard found somebody who sings even less on-key than he does!
