The remixes must be fantastic. Do any of them rank up there with blt?

No need to apologize. It's the content that counts.

I wouldn't say they rank with BLT, but as someone said on another thread, they're very good, far better than the GR remixes (apart from Lee Coombs' Crystal). You should try to get them somehow.

Im glad you think so, Patrick. I think your really neat, and you know i love your odessey theory.

About jetstream:

Not a very well-developed thought on my part. I sense desperation in the song, like it is a forbidden love affair.

Why a forbidden love affair? I think it´s a fantasy: `But now you´r gone´.

That line has been bothering me too.

You don't care for that line?

The beauty is in the last four lines: But now you´r gone, don´let it go. If you don´t try, how will you know.

When the song goes along, you think: ah, a beautiful love relation, but then he sings the last four lines and you think: hé, it is not for real. A fantasy maybe.

The video ....... this theory (can´t find the word)

It's all about my Emirates Cabin Crew job application. Yes, I was rejected. But if you don't try, how will you know???

This is wrong - there are worse songs than World in Motion and even Jetstream - namely State/Shame Of The Nation, Told You So, TImes Change and Someone Like You.... :D

BLT is unbelieveably brilliant, and in no way similar to Jetstream. The two don't belong in the same sentence.Jetstream aint fit to carry BLT's spit bucket:nono: Totally different league IMO

your right it should be Jetstream Vs one of the others you mentioned,I told you so and WIM are too good to be all time worst songs.I only put WIM down cos someone said Jetsream was'nt as bad,and it looks as though some people rall dig on Jetstream:scratch:   It really does take all sorts:faint:

Do you think it's not clear whether it's crying for sorrow or crying out in ecstasy?

Perhaps that line is a statement about the general rule that people who live many miles away from their lovers tend not to argue as much as couples that live together.

However, alternative interpretations would seem as plausible (cries of ecstacy, pain, sorrow).

I guess I interpreted it as meaning "it's been so long since we were last together, and making you cry in unhappiness was always part of being together."

The tension in the relationship is hinted at much earlier. "I pray that you'll be waiting right there for me". So he's not sure she's there - they haven't spoken to arrange for her to meet him? Or maybe they have argued and he suspects that she won't turn up to meet him.

Perhaps she said "I'll try to be there."

I think Bernard once saw a lovely stewardess in a plane. And so it all started.

Very tough call.....made me think a bit.....but I had to go with jetstream, but truthfully, I quite like both for the very sing along quality they have.....odd though, as an American I quite love WIM, especially live w/ Keith Allen......especially live....mmmmmmm:clap:

I think its definately their worst single ever, at the very least the worst since State of the Nation

On hearing the song, I always imagine a guy flying across the world, just to be together with the stewardess he is in love with... Would have been a great topic for the video...

e.g. Barney (passenger) exchanging lustful glances with Ana (the stewardess) during the flight. After the landing they hurry to the next hotel... Next day - next flight - same thing...

Would perhaps have been a "children's program" problem so they didn't do that ;)

I actually love WIM, and like Jetstream. State of the Nation is far worse than both of them.

im i the only person who likes state of the nation.

"i only kiss when your not around"

great line
