Hi people,

I hope almanso won't be mad at me for posting those, but I have 2 demos he did that I think could be shared on NOOL.

The demos are songs he recorded in 1 shot for me, so I can listen to them, so they are far from a final version.

Here you go.

Love Vigilantes (Acoustic)

Well, this was the first take at the hidden track for Community, almanso did a little acoustic version for our needs, and added a little lyrics change that you might notice. This was done only for fun. Eventually Love Vigilantes was recorded by Digital and put on Community.

Vanishing Point

When they did the Community concert in Buenos Aires, Nemesis (now Glasnost) played a live version of Vanishing Point with Sophia on vocals, I believe it was quite good and I convinced almanso to do a demo version. Well, it's a demo, so don't expect it to be perfect, personally I think Alejo didn't tune too much his voice before doing this one, but remember, it was meant to be done by Sophia :D However the musical track is pretty well done.

So don't shoot the messenger if you don't like them, and let's hope almanso won't mind for me sharing his demos, I had fears those would be lost forever...

ok, i don´t mind Nic to share these tracks but i do think i have to explain something first because some people use to think everything you produce in music is for serious matters. and that´s mainly why you don´t share them with the world! in this particular case Nic and I were talking about the possibility of including a hidden track to Community and that it should be Love Vigilantes. so i just took my guitar and recorded a quick sample of it with a little joke that it was "... i saw the telegram, it said that i was a great brave man that ripped off Vietnam", which wasn´t a great joke either! it was just to show that it could really work for hidden track but then we thought that Known Pleasures (now Digital) should do it because they were a great part of the site and people didn´t vote enough for them to be included on the CD, so we asked them and they said yes. so they did a serious job (and a great one!) and we edited it, and my version was forgotten and kept inside Nic´s closet until now!

Vanishing Point. the instrumental background is the same one we used on the tribute party in Buenos Aires and, as Nic well pointed out, Sophia sung beautifully. now what´s the problem with this one? that it was meant for a voice a couple of tones higher than mine, so it was difficult for me to sing it well, not that i have a great voice either! as i have the same tone of voice Barney has it would´ve been better to sing it on the original tone, instead of 4 tones higher. but Nic asked for it so i recorded it for him with great pleasure. but now that i think of it i don´t really remember how that sounds!

having said that, i hope you don´t mind that they´re rough demos and take into consideration that they weren´t meant to be published whatsoever, if not i´d have done it MUCH better than this. so now that you know the story behind them enjoy (if you can!) :p

so many cover versions i did i think i should seriously consider to do the whole NO discography! i´m so close anyway!

that wasn´t bad at all. a shame that it got stucked in the "demo" stage and i didn´t go any further with it as soon as i realized the piano/vocals one was a better idea for Community. a shame that one couldn´t be better recorded either!

is there a final version of Vanishing Point... hmm, no. the final version was the one we performed live at the tribute party. god knows why (surely because of the whole excitement during that week) Sophia and I didn´t record our sessions at home while we were rehearsing. it was just a matter of clicking REC and voilá. i thought about that and told her the same day she got back home and we chatted on the MSN but it was too late. so the only document available is the video take unfortunately
