Love Will Tear Us Apart video

I'm sorry, guys, if I'm asking obvious questions, but I really do need your help on following:

1. Who directed LWTUA video and what did he direct besides that (before or after)?
2. Where was it filmed?
3. I heard that the performance in video was recorded live, yet I've seen one only with studio recording. Why is that?
4. And finally. I need info about the films in which LWTUA featured - besides Donnie Darko and 24HPP.

I think the video was recorded in their rehearsal space. No idea where it is though.

maybe this is obvious... but in the video they are playing the older "fast" punky-ier version while the newer final single A-side recording is overdubbed. it looks kinda stupid since they are not in sync, probably why the video was never played on MTV in the USA

on the Unrelease Joy Division Substance Video they have a version Which Ian Overdubs His own Vocals and you can hear both, supposedly because the one recorded live was really bad. i have to look at it again its been a while

Wow man, thank you very much, what an interesting page... it's really spooky to see the video with the original audio after having seen the common version all these years...
