Now i normally do not hold much with covers, i beleive when you release a cover you are generally selling out for the money, and due to there being a whole heap of shite covers out there this is partially justified. One NO cover i cannot get out of my head is Frente's cover of Bizarre Love Triangle (all from Oz should know this one). Have many people out there heard this cover? I really liked it and i can remember hearing somewhere that in an interveiw with Barney he mentioned that this cover was one he actually liked. It is an acoustic cover and he said that he would have liked to do it the same way but it was not appropriate for NO at that time in their history. Are there many peopl ethat have heard this cover outside Oz? If so what did you think of it?

I've got a copy of it myself. I don't mind the acoustic version of it but I prefer the dancier remix.
Your right, it was mentioned on the NO J Files that Bernard rated it as the best NO cover he'd heard.
I have heard this cover and I really like it. This version also shows (again) what a great song BLT really is. It takes away all the electronics and effects and what remains is the melody and lyrics; the girl sings it great as well. Also, I play a little guitar and I have worked out how to play the song based on this cover. I had never heard of Frente before. Can you tell more about them?

Thanks for that Ahmad. I knew i had heard it somewhere and 3J seems like the station i would have heard it on.
Coen, Frente! were an australian alternative pop group that hit there height in the mid 90's with pop songs like Accidently Kelly St and Ordinary People. Not much chop, they used to annoy me quite a bit due to the Lead singer Angie Hart high pitched squeels but you could not stop singing their songs. A bit like Aqua on acid, a bit more serious though. A few Frente! pages and interviews

Yeah I remember this one, way back when I was at school.
When I eventually found out NO did it, I think that was the start of me becoming a NO fan, they are very talented.
True Faith rules, what a perfect song. ;)
Hey, Aussies... how about a BLT cover, also done in acoustic manner by a Sydney band called 'Even As We Speak'...has female vocal as well..soft voice very much like Jewel. I've got the 7"....if you guys/gals teach me how to convert music on vinyl to hard disk, then I'll be able to email to Sebastien & Nicholas. I've often heard or read about putting music from vinyl to CD burner...but how do you do this? I've got a CD burner but do I need some kind of special cable from my amp/turntable to the computer? ...Please help...

Never heard this, but BLT done acoustically and without a big production of music focuses much more on the lyrics which i beleive are almost poetic in their simplistic view of love "Every time i see you falling, I, Get down on my knees and Pray, I'm waiting for the final moment you, say the words that i can't say" Pretty much the reason i started to check out NO was because of Bizarre Love Triangle
