I remember Kamar telling us that Smiling Downward (Stephenie, Mr Pope's girlfriend) called him while on the road to Coachella from Oakland saying "(*&/(/* amazing show bla bla bla"

And she's not really a New Order fan...

Worth the price of admission.

You had an hours sleep?

You were lucky. I lived for three months in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. I had to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a crust of stale bread, watch a New Order gig then go to work down t'mill for fourteen hours. When I got home, our Dad thrashed me to sleep with his belt!

:abovelol: Hahahahaha!

And I've done Dallas to Mountain View, Dallas to London (twice) and Austin to Oakland in the last four years to see New order...so I ain't listening to any complaining about having to drive 3 hours to do a gig!!!

Actually, we were together for the Oakland and Coachella shows. We did the cannonball run in different cars though. I called her after the Chicago show to get the scoop.

You're right, iStand corrected. I totally forgot. I think I was broke at the time, may even have spent it on other gigs b4 iKnew they were touring. My loss.

I respect EVERYONE'S extreme efforts at doing what they gotta do (i've done it before too) but dooode, seems you just wish you had it as f#@$in' good as me, dass'all. That seeems to be it. I live WITHIN REASON to an endless choice of everything ('cept N.O. - j/k) and seems you're somehow bothered(affected? hmm) by someone NOT having to declare a fuckin' pilgrimage to beyond-the-horizon every time and it burns you that you do. Relax. You remind me of The Grumpy Old Man on SNL.

Sad part is, if you had it as good as me - you clearly don't BooF#$kyouHoo - you'd have a question or 2 of your own to ask about distance, and it would be... ok, trust me. But you don't. And worst, you probably don't KNOW the difference (I do:thumb: ).

Sad.

your turn. feel free to refer to others as your brain-stutters are staling by themselves... Notice how others are courteous enough to give real answers..? You wanna try? or are you gonna refuse cuz now you feel you're following someone's orders, or jus' doing what you're told? Can't let it go? :D

I am still broke from the Oakland concert, AND I drove 7 hours to see them...(but it was worth it, by all means!!)

Don't take it to heart what these guys say, we are all just HUGE fans and basically don't think much can stop us from seeing them.

Read a few threads to know this before you ask why they don't play in LA.

That's all I will say...

The End!

Other gigs? I don't think ANY other gig would have been better than that day at Area One!

That's okay. Other people might not be as explicit about it, but I'm not alone in thinking that anyone in your convenient geographical location who still bitches about no dates in LA proper will be a twat. In fact, several others beside me have said the same thing in nicer terms. We can't all be as fortunate as you it seems. Enjoy the smog, you knob.

ya know, something just doesn't seem quite proper here...

I just had a look at U96's profile, and he claims to have been a fan of the Order since the age of SIX???

Also, claims to be doing quite well, but has to see if a buddy can get free tickets to the Oakland gig...

I smell a frigging RAT here...

(I like that song, "The Rat")

I grew up with music, and I can remember lots of music from as early as 3 years old ('81-'82). I had music all around.

Didn't mean to sound like I'm doing well. I'm a starving college student here in L.A. I live on my own, broke or near-broke, and trying to make all the shows i'd like keeps me that way. That's why i didnt make N.O. in 2001, cuz i spent my money on other tix by the time i knew NO was gonna play.

A friend who works at a country club here was trying to get Oakland tix free from a member at that club to offset the total cost of the trip, but no go. I never claimed to be doing well, maybe it just sounded that way. Concert-wise, L.A. can be considered "doing very well," but it's not like I get to all the shows i'd like.. quite the opposite. I get to go to Vegas cuz it's a cheap tik and brother has a home there and my blackjack has usually for the trip and any extras i like.

Funny. That's where I got my acid tongue from. They shipped it FedEx overnight.

Now I'll go hide in my fortified bunker so the esteemed newbie from L.A. doesn't come after me with a shotgun.

ahhh...gotcha...if you had it as good as me wasn't referring to your financial situation...but the plethora of shows you have to choose from...and I guess I can accept your explanation of listening to the order from such a young age...I guess if I would have stopped to think about it...my youngest sister would have been forced to listen to the order from about the time she turned one..not that she cares for them these days...

well...now that that's all sorted out...welcome to NOOL...it's a shame you didn't get to see them at either of the gigs in California...the Oakland gig was out-frigging-standing...

there is allegedly another album coming out next year, so check back here and join up with us NEXT time...if they bless us with their presence!!!

even if we seem like dickheads at times, most of us are quite sound...except for the Pope...he really is a TWAT!!!

I'll be back in LA in a month, so if anyone wants me to assault a certain someone, it can be arranged for a reasonable fee :D.

Lame.

Let's see, it's: Jayol/J-Hole cuz that's where you most liked getting "Jacked"? :abovelol:
And "XVI" cuz that's the number of times jacked in said hole at the last gig? Or's it a cumulative, running total? Wot, no notches on your cockring?

*enlglishism follows*: cheers luv, not my type though. :scream:

Thanks to all who've offered kind words, same in return. Mwaah! to the girls and handshakes to the guys.

No worries, this is all most surprising to the clowns who didn't think they'd have to go at it this hard, i guess. I'm amazed I've been so successful that I got to them so bad now they're joking about hurting me. I didn't mean to (i'm not that type) but now.. what th'hell.

It's always the ones who overreact w/no reason that are always the most pussy-hurt by it all...jeezus, why don't you just wave a fuckin' flag and be less obvious, like this: *wave* "yoohoo, pussy-hurt tough-guy here" "i'm so tough," etc. etc. ad lib ad infinitum........................
