Summer's comming! What new order song makes you think most about the summer? Mine is Run, and probably most off Technique.

Anything from 'Technique' reminds me of summer - I'd just got back from Ibiza with some mates when the album was released. Always reminds me of a VERY brief holiday romance...

Right now, Crystal...because it reminds me of a summer day in London, at Finsbury Park...with a bunch of nutters from this place...

Jesus...has it been 3 years already???

Weirdo!

The chorus almost sounds like something by the Beach Boys; you know, the whole "Just like... Just like" background vocals. Plus he sings about the ocean and the sea, which reminds me of going to the beach :D

Blue Monday is the most Donna Summery New Order song.

Yeah the cover always struck me as like an ad for a European brand of sunblock. Well, half the cover anyway.

for me its got to be "such a good thing" and gulp dare i even type it "veitnam". i had vietnam on a cd and my daughter had some of her freinds round a couple of summers ago,it was a lovely day and as i peered out of the back window there they all where dancing and singing to veitnam,a rather odd vision i must confess. it probally helped that they had no idea who new order was and would have probally burned the cd if they knew it was a bunch of oldies.

It's obvious (to me anyway :shades: ) The Beach or Beach Buggy. Depends on whether I am in a walking on the sand mood or driving on the sand mood. Hmm...come to think of it, listening to Blue Monday on my headphones (before the introduction of CD's) whilst laying out on the beach and mentally undressing sexy bikini clad :love2:  Julie  :love2: may have something to do with it.

This has been a really hard one to answer, because every time I think of summery music, all I can think of is lying in the sun, hammered, listening to "Star 6 and 7 8 9" by The Orb ( gotta be the album version).

There are a few No songs that I PERSONALLY asociate with summer, but that don't make em summery.

Technical answer: Mr.Disco as it is Barney's holiday romance/big summer hit pisstake. Romantic answer: Dream Attack, it just suits just after dawn or just before dusk on a hot summers day

I know it happened in Summer, but that was not a summers' day. It was bloody horrible bar about 45 mins!

Anything of Techinque does the job, and is officially my Summer album. special mentions to Run and Dream Attack

WTFSC is a nice summer-album. On sunny days like today, I like to play it (very) loud in my car with the windows down. "Turn" is for my opinion the sunniest song of the album.

I did. After thinking hard about the weather.

Regret (Maybe from beach shots in video)and WFTSC would come to mind; I just can't link too many NO songs to be very "summery" because of it's tone.

The most New Order Summer tracks for me have always been Mr.Disco (for that "Ibiza, Mallorca" spoken bit), World In Motion (world cup = summer), and World Price Of Love because of that video... it was probably still spring when they shot it, but the sun on Barney's sunglasses in the posh hotel is just so summer...

BLT is a great summery song, but as several posters have mentioned before, the whole technique album reminds me of summer--1989, that is, as that was when i saw my first NO show!

mine would be Regret

My votes goes to the whole of Technique. I took it with me to Mexico in 2000 (the year I got it, for the record) and it was a perfect soundtrack.

Without a doubt, "All the Way" from Technique, the perfect soundtrack to summer.
