Probably been asked already, but who's the South Kensington accented woman on Jetstream intro?

Yes, this question has been asked repeatedly before, with no satisfactory answer.

I keep thinking it's Anne Dudley from the Art of Noise, purely because she talked on a few of their records in almost the same voice......"Can I can I can I say something?" For those of you show have never heard of them, Anne is the "hey" on firetstarter by the Prodigy.

Oh and I think I know where the whistling comes from, but I'm holding my council on it.

She has talked on other Order records?

Yeah it's that chic who wrote and arranged the songs for Jeeves & Wooster TV series.

by the by AoN's live DVD from a coupla years ago is brilliant, but it's harder to imagine music and musicians more distantly removed from our beloved NO, or even from their former selves, now that JJ Jeczalik and his fairlight are off dementing people in other ways. DVD is almost worth it just to hear the original bit of tape with the "hey" sample on it ( if you're a meganerd ( hi there!) )

Some of New Order's "poke and prod without a clue" string arrangements are every bit as powerful and pseudo-wagnarian as Anne's. There are bits in RIAD and run wild and even krafty that i'm sure she'd be please to have put her name to. Just shows you don;t have to be a conservatory prodigy to make good tunes :) Oddly enough, I still can't get me head around the J+W stuff, it's just SO light and unpretentious ( or unportentious?) compared with what I'm used to.

If you listen to the isolated tracks and parts in the u-myx application, there's all sorts of background chit-chat...including a really loud-and-clear "Yeah, nice!"
