I was intrigued by Seb's comment on the JD thread : "I've had enough of this, time for action".

First he deletes his name from his profile, then Huntsman gets banned.

Check out the front page....he's now put the site up for sale!

OK, but that's the atmosphere on some of the threads, not all. Furthermore, there is more in this site than just the forum. I'am quite amazed by Seb's reaction. I think he's overreacting to a very natural phenomenon that happens from time to time on any forum or discussion list. It's the winter, people are often in a bad mood, they're tired because of the end-of-the-year rush at work, and this has a serious influence on the general atmosphere of the forum.

Sebsy guy, please reconsider your decision, and you'll see that everything will be normal again soon. And if you feel your cradle rocking... oops, I mean if you feel that this forum is drifting, why don't you just play your role as a moderator? I think this might be a good compromise...

Also noted recently in the threads is that Seb has a new job...ranked in my old college psychology textbook as among top ten most stressful things...right up there with death of a spouse. And let's all pause to review the great circle of life:

Job pays Money. Money buys Food. Food sustains Life.

The terse nature of the announcement is curious, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions. After all...the For Sale announcement is (I believe) for honest-to-God potential buyers, not forum posters. I'm giving our dear webmaster the benefit of the doubt for now.

Has your decision to sell out been influenced by the controversy of recent forum threads? Or is it simply a decision driven by lifestyle / career commitments?

Is there a possibility that you'll shut the site down if you don't find a buyer imminently?

I think I can speak for many of us in saying that we're really grateful for the work that the team has put into this little project and it'd be a tragedy to see it shut down.

Your online presence seems to have diminished recently- after the Morris Fan business, the mysterious Hunstsman ban, etc. Have these events dampened your enthusiasm for the gig?

Or is there a delicious conspiracy afoot?

Sebsy, surely you feel that just a few words of explanation would be apt if only to verify to us all that your good self and Nicky the Blank are off to pastures new!? - not even a goodbye and cheers for the good times, good golly whats happened to the world. As far as off-topic threadbares go I thought the last few weeks were fairly tame in comparison to some of the catastrophic benders we've all enjoyed (most notably when MuffBoxer trashed the stage with his infamous 882 post fiasco to poor Honey Monster) ... your public awaits.

Remember when you played football in the park as a nipper and you all started picking on your pal who actually owned the ball. Invariably he'd pick it up inform you all that it was in fact "his ball" and fuck off home to sulk spoiling everyone's fun for no reason other than the fact he wasn't getting things his own way. I'm glad we've all grown up since those days eh?.....
