Alright you guys, how about sharing any "random facts" or trivia about NO, such as their dislikes, tastes in music, cars, hobbies, family facts, all the useless info that I love to read during the work day instead of work. My apologies if this has been done before, I don't see an option here to search for threads.

Thanks! Veronica :D

Hardly. I went there once, and found nothing there! Total BAWS (Boring-Ass Web Site.)

Cheers, Veronica :shades:

The official website people apparently come here now and then to ask trivia questions, like, "What's the name of the CD?" and "Is this their first album?"

Barney apparently likes pastries.

the first thing that comes to mind, and something that gets asked by a lot of people is, "What does W.W.R.L. mean/stand for at the beginning of Confusion 87". I think it's in the FAQ but it's the call letters to a NYC radio station.

What movie was Ian Curtis watching when he made love to Bernard Sumner for the first time? Strozek! On Ice 3: Electric Chicken

Of course, you could always ask people to list the first 10 singles by FAC#

What was the first record not produced by Martin Hannet?

What sample was supposed to be at the end of Perfect Kiss but didn't get cleared?

What's the purpose of these questions? Are you hosting a quiz night?

Steve has tank or 2.

I smell press, or perhaps homework? Anyway let's be careful and keep the details of certain things to ourselves. Like Bernard's unfortunate fetish for geese, Peter's bodycount and the fact hat Steve and Gills had previous lives as SS gaurds before being frozen and awoken in 1975, they are brother and sister.

Gillian is very quiet.

Bernard doesn't like Gypsy Kings.

Yeah the story of Bizarre Love Triangle goes back a long way folks. We keep it quiet now days cause it's quite embarassing for the members of New Order. Apart from Barney who supposedly kept clean of the incident and actually was distraught by the whole situation. Basically Bizarre Love Triangle is about a strange thing that happened with Peter Hook, Ian Curtis and Stephen Morris. It's all hush hush now though cause if there's any chance of this coming out it's desastrious for the two current members. We don't like to talk about it any more, confuses the two musicians very much, only problem though, Barney uses it at them as a way to get back to the two members, so much in fact he wrote a detailed song desribing the actions, although the lyrics do not actually explain what happened with Mr. Curtis, Morris and Hook, young Bernard explained it in his own way, in a way that didn't seem like it was giving too much away. Ah well, it's best kept behind closed doors, don't ask us again please.

Yes, you heard it here in detail first. Bernard has been spotted on numerous occasions showing the after affects of the incident, much better if we all keep away from the issue now, we don't like to talk about it anymore.

Poor Veronica, so sweet, so innocent, so lacking in experience of New Order that she expected straight answers from a website full of their followers.

Cigarettes are called fags in the UK.

Remember the Other Two's song with the lyric .."We put the fags in the car, and we felt much better..."

Bernard Sumner was the keyboardist of King Crimson. He met Peter Hook at a concert of Emerson Lake And Palmer. They decided to open a jewelry but something went wrong when Shaun Ryder joined them. Jewels were just disappearing inexplicably. Tony Wilson was accused but today it's more believed that Steve was the quiet one just to keep secret his plan of buying instruments with the stolen jewels to found Joy Division with Ian Curtis. Unfortunatley Ian went AWOL a few years ago so he's not available to comment this new theory...

me wipes tear from eye. Pride in my brothers and sisters. Every reply in the true spirit of New Order, maybe this place HASN'T become overrun by innocent neophites after all.

on the subject of fags, when we played in Chicago ( not the slightlynarrow, a heavy as hell funk jazz band) we got SO many looks when we said things like "we're off to get some fags"....but being Irish, we got away with that, and anything else we cared to say or do an' all ('cept the C word, doesn't go down well there, it's practically punctuation here)

Ian Curtis is the laziest member of the group.

Now, now, don't feel ashamed just because you are a year older than I but didn't start listening to the band at 10 years old like myself. This "innocent neophyte" (note the correct spelling)wants you to feel proud of your accomplishments in life, not strike out at others. Oh, BTW, congrats on your use of those big vocabulary words! ;)

Cheers, Veronica

M'lady you have taken your good natured abuse well, you'll do well here. Wasn't actually referring to you as one of the correctly spelled. Twas a very random question you asked tho. Probably part of the reason we took the piss a bit, but mostly I think it's down to the fact that none of us would have the mildest clue where to start, EVERYTHING about them is random.

My comment about the innocent newbies, was more based on the fact that there do seem to be a lot of young 'uns round here who've just discovered New Order. While that in itself is a wonderful thing, some of them seem to have this idea that New Order are a band or "pop act" in any recognisable way. They been brought up on prepackaged bollox in general, and seem confused by a bunch of people who couldn't give a dead rat's arse about ANYTHING other than the music ( and getting wasted and having a laugh).

that's really what I was proud of, every single one of the idiotic answers you got, from me and others was worthy of the band themselves, and worthy of being true as well, so much so that i bet you find it hard to tell which is bullshit and which is true ( apart from the obvious ones).

So welcome aboard y'bollox :)

I honestly dunno where to stat with anecdotes.

PS, I feel honour bound to point out that the spelling flame is the lowest of the low, but since you DID use it to rightly shoot my ass down, and since I really did spell it wrong rather than my usual typos caused by a 500 WPM brain attached to 4 WPM hands, I'm willing to forgive. PPS you started it with "Aficionados"

Thanks Steve, you are sweet :) Sorry if I came off too grumpy, my apologies.

PS: This makes me sound really lame, but I still think it's cool that I can talk to someone in Ireland over my PC.

Veronica, most of my first post was serious, with the exception of Bernard and Ian sleeping together. The real answer to a real question is buried in there though.

I'm sure we can come up with loads of questions for a quiz. How involved do you want them to be? Who is the target audience? Hardcore fans or people who recognize Bizarre Love Triangle but can't name the band...somewhere inbetween?

Fag, puff, drag, hmmm, do you think cigs have some gay overtones? Anyways, I'm not going out for a fag - i'm having to much crack (ok craic!) here:hat: :evil4: (isn't it great being irish sometimes - we can get away with saying anything thanks to our 'cute' accents:thumb:
