crazyBritishfrogsong

So, you Brits continue to play this Crazy Frog song, eh?

Look, could you please export New Order to America, where they can have a chance at charting??? They can pick from any of 50 beautiful states...

Britain does not deserve New Order...

If you judge it by that bleedin frog tune, the UK, and anywhere near enough to receive it's radio, should be sterilized with thermonuclear weapons.

If you're going to judge a nations right to hear decent music based upon what songs appear in their populist charts, all the Americans on this site may as well cut off their ears with a rusty pen knife :evil4:

I give you.......Hip hop, R'n'B, and to top it all C&FW.

I thankyou.

Crazy Frog is fucking SWEDISH anyway.

It's only British teenagers that are responsible for it being number one.

My daughter loves it. But it's OK. She's three.

Well, I guess solo success was inevitable after his stellar contribution to TPK - when does the sheep from Fine Time release his single? CTB :bear:

For a second, I thought the Other Two released a maxi-CD of the sampled frog sounds from "Perfect Kiss".

I can see it now...

  1. Crazy Frog (Perfect Kiss version)
  2. Crazy Frog (Miami edit)
  3. Crazy Frog (Extended 12" dance mix)
  4. Crazy Frog Dub
  5. Crazy Frog Gillian Bum Notes Mix
  6. Video (Dir. Jonas Akurlund (sp) )

Sure there is a lot of shit C&W just as there is shit shit/hop/crap but C&W stays on its stations and does not take over other radio stations. Sometimes I think the only reason The Killers get air play on certain stations is because of Affirmative Action. Anyway, I will take C&W over two thugs with a 4 track and a Casio anyday.

Attitude + No talent + Attitude = todays shit/hop/crap

Never met anyone under 40 who liked C+FW....if that's not the case trans-pond then may I suggest to our American Brothers that they, with utmost haste...GET OUT...GET OUT NOWWWWW, GET TO THE COAST, JUMP IN THE SEA AND SWIM, SWIM TIL YOUR'RE HALF WAY ACCROSS EUROPE.....OH FOR THE LOVE OF $DEITY GET OUTTA THERE.

Sorry Where was I....oh yeah.

Never met anyone sober who liked it either....hardly surprising....it's all about suicide and drinkin and trains and trucks and sick/dying kids/wives/horses/dogs....and bloody prison. And it requires you be of intensely dull intellect, not to realise after the third song....what chord comes next in every subsequent song. How do they buy records?....."it's about a guy on a train, going to prison, for getting drunk and killin his mom cos she gave his divorced wife his sick dog.....and it goes like...dum dadum dadadum(insert slavish fifth based chord progression)".

I'm sorry...where was i....

Johnny cash is quite good tho, but mainly cos he's silly and he likes his guitars to sound like 'ookie's bass :)

Nonsense! I'm 24, stone sober and enjoy a great deal of C&W. If you think it's all about how some guys wife done left him and shot his dog then you obviously have not heard; Johnny Cash, Guy Clark, Johnny Paycheck, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson or Hasil Adkins. And I feel sorry for you.

Ah, so we're back to this Crazy Frog nonsense again, with the obvious implication that us English folks have no taste! Well here's your answer, and hopefully we can clear this tiresome subject up once and for all...

There is a plain and simple explanation as to why this Swedish atrocity is top of the UK charts. Back in 1983, it took something like 400,000 record sales to hit Number 1 in the UK charts.

Today, due to the monumental collapse in the sales of singles, any god-awful act can get to Number 1 by selling a mere 20,000 copies of their record. The Top 40 singles chart in Britain is effectively a total irrelevance. The average sex and age of the singles record buyer in Britain is female and 13 years old. 'Nuff said.

This is why class acts like New Order originally chart as high entries, then drop like a stone after a week. It is also why Radio One has dropped New Order from their playlist and (ha ha ha) have lost their crown as Britain's most popular radio station, to Radio 2. They are also being overtaken by Classic FM. If thats's not poetic justice, then I dont know what is!

Personally, I'd rather have the frog at no.1 than the likes of Coldplay; lesser of two evils and all that.

isn't this a ringtone for cellphones? if thats the case then i demand a comeback from fine swedish acts such ace of bass and roxette. still can't understand how a ringtone (if this frog thing really is a ringtone) hits number 1 :/

Coldplay are just dire - the name for starters - COLDPLAY for chrissakes! What happens when they carry on after they turn 50? Do they drop the C and become OLDPLAY? :uhoh: :shades:

But I have to draw the line at the novelty shite that clogs up the record shelves though. Only on Saturday when I was at the Macc branch of Music Zone I saw two teenage lads aged about 14 picking up said Frog abomination and were deliberating over it's relative merits as a piece of aural art. Well, yrs truly took one look at them then started laughing loudly in their faces, asking them: "Are you seriously thinking of buying that? Well, feel free and go ahead, but you'll only end up being a total wankers cos that's the sort of market that shit is directly aimed at." Needless to say, they returned said CD to the shelf and promptly walked away sheepishly....either that or they were running off to seek reinforcements to try and tackle my 6 foot 3 inch frame.:evil4:
