Confusion, Fine Time, and In a Lonely Place were all placed during the 1998 shows.
Any thoughts on why these three songs haven't worked their way back into the setlist again in the following years (other than the obvious time constraints/greatest hits set reason)?
Sure, Europe is allegedly getting a few live oldies in the coming months, but would you like to see any of these three songs make it back into the live rotation?
(I'd personally love to hear IALP, though the other two I can pass on.)
To be perfectly honest, i wouldnt want those 3 songs in the set list. Fine Time is probably my least fave new order song, up there with Jetstream, Times Change, most of republic, Rock the Shack etc. Confusion has never really done it for me, and IALP, well it was good that one time. But i think thats where it should be left.
I would love to have Fine Time back. IALP would be good too, although expendable (not that Fine Time would be necessary, either). I can do without Confusion, although I wouldn't complain if they added it!
After the 1987 gigs, they axed from their playlists..
All of Movement This Time of Night Shellshock All of Brotherhood (minus BLT, and a last random airing of All Day Long in 1989) All of PCL (minus BM and YSF)

I wouldn't say no to a reprise of "Confusion". It's kind of shit and ace at the same time. And you can breakdance to it. With a KFC bucket on your bonce.

I was just about to type the same. I would much prefer songs from Technique than Confusion or IALP, unless, like Pete mentioned they play AOC or DNE or Sunrise or......
It strikes me as weird when Hooky states that the band are really proud of thier musical legacy when they continue to spew bags of shite at their live gigs. We are all proud of their legacy and would continue to be so if they could be arsed to add a little variation in the proceedings.
I honestly thought that after the Get Ready era of live gigs, we would have seen something special live (not that I am ever gonna get the chance).

So Run is programmed in, if it indeed it needs it, as it is largely acoustic. I'd love to hear that one live again. Actually there shouldn't be too many obstacles to playing any of the more non-electronic songs, other than rehersing them.

Spewing bads of shite is a bit strong. The songs they play live are great songs. I have to agree a bit more variety would be nice. It wouldn't be too hard to have 3 or songs that could be rotated.
