RESOLVED, this 8th day of June, 2005, that we, the undersigned, formally acknowledge our gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding contribution of superstar DJ RICHARD MOREL to the New Order remix canon; hereby we acknowledge:

(1) The unmitigated ass-kicking goodness and sexiness of the Pink Noise remixes of Krafty and True Faith (and, hopefully, “Guilt Is a Useless Emotion”); and

(2) Our fervent desire for further collaborations with New Order.

WITNESSED this day by the following members of the Dry 201 Message Pub (“the Forum”) and SIGNED by application of an anthropomorphized gif (“smiley”) of the signer's choosing.

It's the first remix on the CD; if the radio edit is track 1, it's track 2.

No problem, Jonathan. Is it possible you have the European version rather than the US version?

Sounds like you have the European version, Jonathan.

I was going to invite Mr. Morel over to bask in the love and adoration of the NOOL community, but somehow I don't think this thread is going to impress him like I'd hoped.

You don't want to distract him from his efforts on the Guilt remix, do you?

Hey Patrick, when our read going to get a revised homer edition.

Thanks for being interested Jonathan. Perhaps at some point I will find time to return to that project.

When is the New Order as Modernist literature branch going to come around to Unknown Pleasures as an interpretation of Proust? I distinctly read the phrase "unknown pleasures" in it.

Yes. Simply by responding to this thread you've implicitly acknowledged the greatness of Morel.

I will leave that project to others.

Share the joy.

Morel's mixes of True Faith are sublime, haven't heard his Krafty mix, but I'm looking. I'm a believer.

However I prefer Philip Steir's remix of True Faith in the 2001 mixes..

I've had the Pink Noise mix/dub of Krafty in my head consistently for the past month and a half. Definitely a :thumb: here. His True Faith ones are pretty good too, I like a remixer who turns up the dreamy reverb as he does in those mixes. Although I wish his 'I've Taken Too Much Dub' had been available on that promo CD along with the other mixes. I've got a good quality MP3 so I suppose that will do me; it keeps the original '87 synth bassline and is just a corker of a mix/dub... I'd certainly spin it if I were a club DJ :music:

His Depeche Mode 'Dream On' mixes were fantastic too, I'm just disappointed as a UK fan never seeing any of his stuff on our own CD singles... he's obviously more "American market" or so the management probably think.

Looking forward to his take on Guilt Is A Useless Emotion :thumb:

Huge Rich Morel fan here.....and I highly recommend NO fans go on itunes and get his single's If You Love Me, Cabaret, True and everything else they offer....this material is really really good stuff...and his albums are WAY consistent...a whole bunch of rock to house crossovers that mesmerize and leave you wanting to listen over and over....

I suppose it would be against the rules to upload Morel's Pink Noise True Faith remix? If so, anyone who wants an mp3 DO NOT email me asking for a copy. ;)
