I've had it confirmed today that Peter Hook will be appearing on Salford Community Radio with his Auntie on Thursday evening, this radio station is broadcasting for one month only as part of a current community initiative in the Salford area.

From what i know so far, Peter will be bringing his own set list to play on the show and it should be between 7-9pm on the 16th of June, 7-9pm.

Plenty of New Order tomorrow nite on the Alternative Show with DJ Fez, 7-9 pm, check it out if you can online.

you literally need to be in the next street to pick us up on Broadcast, but online works well with Winamp.

Sorry Shug, I'm listening on my little work laptop (3 p.m. here), so I couldn't grab the audio. At least I can tell people I sort of know you.

"Age of Consent" (and a sneaky little bit of "We All Stand") was broadcast in your honor, though.

Lots of good choons, actually ... still going strong at

well mucho thanks people, hard to know who and how many people are listening and where they are listening, we're reaching out now though, had a listener in NYC last week, she called the show as well!

Its confirmed Peter Hook and his Auntie Jean will be On Air from 5-7pm GMT on the 16th of June, they'll be talking about the local area and Pete will be providing the music.

I've managed to secure a place on the mixing desk team to assist the bass legend.. i'm very much excited about this..

And to celebrate the fact we have a few people listening i'm gonna do a New Order show after, plenty of other familiar records but primarily i'll be playing loads of NO and JD :)

If you would like me to play you a particular track by New Order or Joy Division or anyone else then please post on here what you would like and i'll do it for you if i have the record, i started out using the computer but really i'm a vinyl man and have settled on this now for doing the show..

we're only on til the 28th of June, all your support is most appreciated.

To paraphrase Frank Booth, "F*** Winamp! iTUNES!"

Go to Advanced > Open Stream and then paste in the url from above. That is:

I'll try to set up to record it Thursday (dunno about Windows, but Mac users can use Audio Hijack or Wire Tap).

All geekiness aside, great show. :music:

KEEP IT SORTED, SALFORD!

For what it's worth, I'm working from home today and am set up to record The Hook Family Flower Hour. I'll post it directly afterward barring any technical difficulties.

Nice one, cos I'll miss the start as I don't finish work till 5:thumb:

Hopefully Fez will do us a favour and ask Hooky if they're gonna do Age Of Consent at Hyde Park:thumb:

And I wonder if Hooky's gonna do some of the songs from his DJ Sets. We could well hear the "Love Will Keep Us Together" mix.

And after all, did anyone successfully grab the set? Sadly, I could not leave my work place to listen to Hooky's DJ performance. I am very curious about it.

You could listen to this:

This is Radio Hook

I smushed it down to about 15 megs. My computer dropped the connection for about one minute toward the end ... the most important minute ... so there's some silence during the Felix da Housecat mix of BLT.

You do get to hear the Grace Jones mix of She's Lost Control, though (at 1:02:53).

Very nice work Gnu for recording it, Fez for the heads up

"Mark Smith lives around here but we don't talk about that turkey"

Can't listen to the file from work - did he say anything interesting at all about the forthcoming gigs?! New songs to be aired, or whatever?!

what a nite, will post a review, and full set list from what Hooky played,

one thing he did say was that New Order had enough tunes in the locker to make a new LP and it would be out next March, can't remember whether he was on mike for that.

Great Mark Smith bit,

Mark Smith: "Hooky, the record label have paid me 10 grand not to put my record out, it stinks this music business dunnit?"

Hooky: well i'd have paid you 15k!

This resulted in Smith lunging across a table to have a go!

top class.

Hope everyone who listened enjoyed.
