Thanx for a great site! Being a fan of New Order since I bought the original Blue Monday 12" back in the days, I have recently re-descovered them through the fantastic new album (I buy too much records, sometimes brilliant bands just collects dust in my collection...)
Anyways, there is two cover versions by the Norwegian band Flunk that isn't mentioned in the brilliant NOOL discography, don't know if the've been mentioned here at the forum:
They've made a downbeat version of Blue Monday on their debut album For Sleepyheads Only (2002), with various remixes released on 12"-ers, and on a special on-demand mailorder only CD-R.
And in 2004, they made a beautiful acoustic version of True Faith on the b-side of their single On My Balcony, later to be upgraded with drums for the US release of their second album Morning Star, and on the Beatservice album "Play America" for the rest of the world.
