why would your first post be about dissing new order? Do not tell people what to like and not to like. I happen to like wftsc.

Jesus, with reactions like these, I doubt I'll be posting again for a while. ;) Apologies anyway. Have put WFTSC on today for the first time in a while, and I'm disappointed. It's got no lasting appeal. In my opinon, anyway. I just thought you chaps might be interesting in some other music, that's all.

If the masses here are interested in other music, I image they'll find the appropriate message boards for said musicians without your assistance. However, NO and WFTSC are typically high on the conversation list around here. Don't prefer either? Move on.

Hmmm. The same might apply to NO these days, might it not? Except that I hesitate to call NO "shitty". They haven't released anything particularly interesting or innovative since those Sly and Robbie dancehall versions of RIAD. And when was that? 1993? Admittedly, some of MBM's stuff has been questionable of late. But what gets me about them in their constant ability to push boundaries. When was the last time NO did that? I look forward to them doing it again soon.
Well I like WTFSC very much. I don't want to argue now about if one has to like it or not. It's personal taste. Everyone has an NO-"I don't like"-album... If his is WFTSC - O.K.

When did New Order last push boundaries?! If ever. Movement was a (sub)rehash of Joy Division, PC&L perhaps found them coming to terms with technology and dance music (so pushing boundaries for them, but still lagging behind other electronic acts at the time) but then from Low-Life onwards they've been fairly formulaic.
The only times they veer away from the norm they often get slated - Confusion was a stab at electro, Fine Time found them flirting with acieed and, more recently, they had a crack at white boy reggae with I Told You So. And look how well (ie. badly) each of them has been received.

Do you not think?! People might not like it, but you only have to play the first 10secs of it to know it's New Order. Can't say the same about the tracks I listed above.
Anybody not liking WFTSC doesn't like New Order IMHO... it's like a "best of" of all their other albums

Probably cos it's not entirely true, Nicos! 
Can see what you mean, but it's like a 'diluted' version of everything that's gone on before, if you know what I mean.
I make no secret of the New Order tracks that rock my world and it's usually the bigger, nastier numbers ... and there's nothing on WFTSC which matches that. It's a solid album without being spectacular.

Most of us here quite like Waiting Frogs To Crawl. Some of us even love WFTSC. Each to their own. If you don't like it, then state it as your own opinion, and not as a given fact.
Duff? I don't get it. I figured maybe it has to do with Hilary Duff? lol Oh well, it turned out to be worse, how can you diss WFTSC? Who's Joe is a perfect opener. And I Told You So is pretty much my favorite New Order track, obviously after Doubts Even Here. I'd say it is quite an innovative addition to the NO catelogue. Though I guess anyone who thinks that the RIAD mixes are the best thing NO has to offer probably doesn't understand music at all.

I guess if you think one of the best things they've done are the sly and robbie remixes then new order's probably just not your band. and that's ok.
I love wftsc, except jetstream which is just an odd, throwaway popsong but even that's not that bad.
I don't listen to NO to push boundaries. It's just not what they do. If I want to listen to innovative stuff I'll listen to stuff on Warp records. New Order are basically completely formulaic, but it's one of the best formulas out there and I never get sick of it.
