Here's hoping that we don't see a mass exodus of Digital Republicans following the melodrama that has unfurled.

[Actually, I look forward to the Darren Star-scripted NewOrderOnline TV mini-series that will inevitably follow. Perhaps Robert Downey Jr will play Seb the anguished forum moderator and Danny Bonaduce will portray the whimsical, troubled and hungry genius Huntsman. Other cast members open to speculation.]

The next month promises a cracking period for the forums as we down-underers hope to re-energise proceedings with enriching tales of NewOrder on tour. Perhaps there will even be a photo scan of Hooky in a cowboy hat holding a cuddly koala. Or of big Al Jarvis munching on a runny beetroot-riddled Aussie hamburger.

So stick around everyone- you're all fecking great company on topic or not. Good times are round the corner...

I, for some reason unexplainable other than maybe a shortage of nicotine today, read the above initially as "riding a cuddly koala" :eek3: The mind boggled momentarily :)

yes...but if anybody could pull of riding a cuddly koala, would it not be Hooky???

Yes Mr Ra-Ra-Rasputin, Billy Bob could well be the man for the job. I will be available to entertain his wife while he struggles to perfect those disarming little pecadillos of yours.

No offence, but who's Josh, and what's the Edge? The most famous Josh in London was a gay housemate on Big Brother II, and the most famous edge in London is a gay bar in Soho Square.

What are you saying?

Allen-

"Josh" is an evening DJ at the last alt-rock radio station left in the vast music wasteland that is our fair town.

The "Edge" is the nicname for the radio station's call letters, KDGE.

Hmm, who could play Taboo #7, the illegetimate child of Barney and an American groupie?

Here's my list: 1.The guy who plays the Biscuit on Ally McBeal (too old, yes, but he's got a certain loopiness that's just right)

2.Tom Cavanaugh from "Ed" (again, the loopiness)

3.Topher Grace, That 70's Show

All the same, if Jarvo don't know, it don't exist...

and the rat bastards are about as alternative as my boxer brief undies....couldn't even get the pig porkers to pay the least amount of tribute to Mr. Sumner on his birthday...and then, as if to stick a red hot poker in my left eye, they made me sit through the cure and the Smiths whilest waiting for a small mention of Barney's day....

Jeff-

I guess I should have put alt-rock in quotes! You are right ,though. How "alt-rock" can a station be when every fifth song sounds like Creed whether it is or not?

I must say, however, that I first heard Crystal on The Adventure Club.

Music just blows in this town. We should apply for a 250 watt license from the FCC and at least enrich the airwaves in our small part of North Texas. :) Our rule could be a NO tune every quarter hour!

Who else would make our playlist?

You mean there is music other than the order???

I guess I could continue trying to convert the masses to Consolidated...but even the folks in San Francisco had no idea what they had in this little band...or maybe Meat Beat Manifesto...nah...we could never get our fellow Dallasites to understand...we'd have to throw in some Pink and Britney every now and then!!!!

Consolidated....oh my goodness. I remember them ....

The average Dallasites' head would explode (like in Scanners -highly underrated early '80's movie) trying to understand them.

How about some Front 242 or early Minisrty (pre-NWO)? We could always lay some Skinny Puppy or Bauhaus on the boob/lip/hip enhanced chicks trying to pull doctors/lawyers at Champs.

I'm just lucky enough to have their tour manager's phone number in me mobile, and the numbers of both members of their management 'proper' - mind you, they don't give too much away! The sods!
