I think this is the first band that really catches the spirit of new order

Only decent song on the album, rest is absolute crap.

That really would not surprise me.

I mean, any NME-hyped band that wants to sound like Duran Duran or a Flock of Shitting Seagulls fully deserves ridicule and suspicion.

no brakes is pretty good (downloaded it from their site last year together with honest mistake, not checked to see if the album versions are different)

Well, "Honest mistake" is a cover of "Blue Monday" without the originality, groundbreaking electronica, tune and atmosphere. While "Fearless" is a copy of "Crystal" without the power, feeling, tune, and, dare I say it, anything really. It's good that The Bravery exist; they essentially make us aware of what New Order could have been like if they lost all of their talent. (See also: Electronic's "Twisted tenderness" album, except for "Vivid", "Late at night" and "Twisted tenderness").

I don't like them. I haven't heard that they've been casted like a Boy Group but I've heard that 4 of them used to play in a Ska-Punk Band only 2 years ago...

So that's quite a dramatic change in style then.

I've not heard the Bravery record, but I admit that (1) I love the Killers record, and (2) like the poster above, despite what anyone says, I don't hear any New Order in it at all. I do hear bits that remind me of The Skids, early Duran Duran, some U2, some Smiths ... no New Order, though. Synth plus guitar does not a New Order ripoff make.

Oh yeah, heard an oldie New Order ripoff over the weekend: "The Bad Touch" by Bloodhound Gang. Now that's a ripoff (for novelty effect, though).

This is true. It was "Skabba the Hut."

It is not exact, but if you listen to the "fade in" intro to "Honest Mistake" and "586 at the 2:00 min. mark" , I see more similarities between the two songs, after that it is up for grabs.

Play the two songs one after another and you will hear what I mean.

I bought the album at Best Buy the day that it came out for low, low price of $9.98. I think the album is really good but wonder if the follow up will hold water. New Order no doubt have some influcence over them mostly from the Get Ready album. No Brakes, Unconditional are two of the better songs.

Finally Rob and I see eye-to-fucking-eye on something. An Honest Pisstake is only good because it rips off 586's sequencer line.
