Which new order tunes feature her voice? I think im missing some.

Actually, Avalanche is probably the only one to feature Gillian's voice...

so its ludicrous to think she contributed vocals to wftsc, that some fantasized about.

Again, confirmed by Bernard, Peter & their manager... it's Dawn Zee singing on WFTSC...

And you have proofs of that if you watch the Jools Holland footage..

Bloody hell, let it go :nonono: It's already been mentioned several times on this board that it wasn't her after Nic spoke to the management. Another Gillian "they're not as good without her feminine touch" whine then

As for other songs with Gillian vocals, I'm pretty sure Doubts even here from Movement is a contender.

Ally.

Whoa!! Im sorry, this is not a "feminine touch" whine. I just never could pick out her voice.

Perhaps, I missed the prior threads.

Doubts Even Here Procession (she comes in with Barney at the end) The Kiss Of Death 12" version (her voice is sampled) Avalanche

I recall some people debating whether or not it's Gillian also on Someone Like You

Yes! That one too - thanks for reminding us, I forgot about that one. :D

I thought she did the backing vocals on Liar; at least it sounds like her voice.

Also the Peel Sessions version of "586". Or that's what my ears tell me.

She appears on two New Order albums, and has toured with the band, singing both her own lines and those formerly sung by Gillian Gilbert, such as backing on True Faith. She is not, however, a member of the band.

:confused2:

And for those who wish to contact her personally - link 2 :D

On the Glastonbury 1987 live CD the sample on Perfect Kiss is clear very much towards the closing of the song. The sample was a recording of her being humped from behind ooh yeah baby!

We thought the same for Someone Like You, and we were told it was Dawn Zee... so it's difficult to say!

Maybe that's Gillian's voice at the end of "Don't Do It" - the bit where she says "Your mother sucks cocks in hell"

:D

I am sure she's on the Eng-er-land chant in World in Motion.

I think Dawn Zee should be adopted as a member, then we'd have more backing vocals (useful as Barney skips many high notes nowadays) and our feminine touch back...

Er... to avoid rant replication maybe people should sneak a peek at my thread on this over at WIM.

If NO can adopt one outsider why not another?

I am pretty sure I can hear her on the live version of World In Motion from Old Trafford in '02. And very out of tune too i might add.

Can anyone confirm if she was on stage with them for that song?

Didn't see her. Possibly Dawn Zee?

If you play "Here to Stay" backwards you can quite clearly here Gillian say "fuck off you obsessive, fingering-sniffing NOOL knobheads".

At least that's what it sound like to me.:skeptic:

Does anyone else here think Dawn Zee can't sing for peanuts? She always makes NO sound worse, not better I reckon.

Dawn Zee is needed as Hooky and Barney's range is lower than hers. The band must be cool with her as she's been working with them on and off for nearly 5 years.

DZ's biggest track contribution is to Crystal. Crystal is NO's biggest single from the last 5 years, therefore she's an asset in my view.
