Just got the July 2005 issue of Spin Magazine and they are featuring the "100 Greatest Albums 1985-Now"

LOWLIFE is listed as number 50

Compiled by thier editorial staff: "Each album on the list finds a sweet spot between artistic brilliance, stylistic innovation, and cultural relevance."

what's #1? nevermind, or something of that sort?

I would guess that The Joshua Tree has to be up there.

I was thinking that "Violater" and "I Say, I Say, I Say" could or should fit on this list...but thats just me.

Spin always liked New Order and Joy Division. I remember that back in 1990 they have listed LWTUA as the second best song of all times. I don’t want to say the number 1 name.

That's good news, but damnit, how many "list" issues does Spin put out in a year? (I read it at the library, but I'd guess about 2 or 3).
