Seeing as how I missed the last confab, anyone fancy Durutti Column on Monday, Feb 18th at the Jazz Cafe?!

Frankly, I think they're shite. Last gig I saw them at - on the South Bank - I walked out after 4 songs, but that was more to do with the fact we'd put up with about 3 awful support bands and the Then Mrs was already on a very short fuse.

I'm gonna have a look-in on the 18th anyways, out of some warped loyalty towards all things Factory. And cos I know a couple from the Ceremony list who are going. Any excuse for a beer really.

Beyond that there's always ACR in March, though don't know any venue details about that one as yet. Sooperb band, IMHO. Good to see 'em back

Yes, count me in. Was out with Johnny G last week and this very gig was mentioned. I've never seen them play before and only heard a few songs but its always nice to meet for a beer.

I've got a touch of the Millwall Flu' but hopefully should be better by then! I heard you were a bit under the weather last week as well?

Have a good trip to Oz, has a date been confirmed for ACR yet?

No date for ACR yet, as far as I know.

Did you go last night? Short trip for you from the Elephant. When we went there in March last year the police penned us in for a good hour afterwards. Even the most mild mannered among our contingent got seriously riled. Gave their kids enough time to get their bottle-throwing arms warmed for our trip to the station, mind ;)

No, I have actually been ill but would probably have given it a wide berth anyway. A lot of other London Bluenoses watched it in a pub near London Bridge, strangely enough.

Did Johnny G make it safely back from Cardiff?!

Yeah, sounded a bit bleak for him but he was at the back of the stand so avoided all the missiles. Told him he should've dragged Mad Darren along with him to interprete. Darren actually had his West Ham top - not sure why he's a fan?! - all neatly ironed for Macclesfield! Shame that one didn't go ahead for that reason alone!!

Just about MW, it was a mind broadening experience. The bottles of piss being lobbed into our end were particularly welcoming.

Geat atmos, back to the old days.

Also up for the 18th.

Think you did well to miss the New Den. They can get a bit riled when they think they should have won.!!

Where is the Jazz cafe ? Tells how often I get out and about in London !

It's in Camden. Come out of the station and its across the road on the right hand side more or less. There's bars a plenty nearby if we are going to meet beforehand in a local watering hole.

Will we need to get tickets in advance?

Are there lots of people from London on here then ?

I'm probably up for it then. Dunno about the tickets in advance. Don't remember having to queue to see them before mind !

There's quite a few, dotted about all over the place. A piss-up is being organised for this Saturday at the Walkabout in Covent Garden (the only place we could think of that will serve drunken Scots with Celtic shirts on at lunchtime :)), and there's usually someone only too pleased to combine beer with the Order !

"When i feel good I just don't know what to say"

Other than "Have a nice time in London"!

btw..."Favouritism is for insecure wordusers" (might be important to add the word: - sometimes :)

Glad I reread this thread - I had got it into my head that the gig was tonight !

I think I'll get tickets in advance as well given the JTQ fiasco over Xmas.
