List some of the New Order "traditions" that have been broken with the release of the new album. For example:

--appearing in their videos (Jetstream) --bringing older tunes like EGG, Thieves, TTON, etc. back to the setlist (allegedly, yet to be proven)

(As the video example shows, these need not be traditions that have never been broken before, but simply uncommon breaks with tradition that stand out as surprises to you.)

You could add song titles that appear in the lyric which no occurs more often than not these days.

My word, holy father, but that's a gory avatar you have there! Uck!:blackeye: :skeptic:

Ah... :D my bad. You're right I should of looked. NO have appeared in quite a lot of their videos though, but yeah it wasn't expected for them to appear in a video today in 2005, and they did, i doubt they'll be in the next one though.

Couldn't Jetstream itself be a broken NO tradition, having a popular act duet with them, but I guess that was already done with Corgon, but Jetstream itself could count I guess.

Oh no, i'm gonna start michael brown off now lol.

Calling a song "Krafty" when the actual song resonates nothing - lyrically or musically - that has to do about being "Krafty". Call it "One More Day", for cripe's sake.

Its is called "krafty" in honor of kraftwerk. Although it does not remind me of kraftwerk, the band thinks so.

I disagree. I think it's brilliant, actually. The font and color and austerity is superb, especially mixed with the color swirls in the spine. IMO, anyway.:D

Not playing Manchester on the latest tour. Sacrilage!

Yeh but you got to admit you could do the front cover in Word in 30 seconds. One of the inside images as the front cover would have been cool.

This reminds me of a funny thing. In Sydney, one of our big annual festivals is The Big Day Out and I was reading the discussion board on it's website the other year when New Order were playing. There was much speculation about which stage New Order would be on and people were guessing they were going to play a mellow set. Then one kid says no way, New Order would play on the noisy stage, and come on last, and hadn't we seen the clip for Crystal, they rock!

made me smile and feel old.

I obviously don't watch a lot of TV, especially french.

Releasing details of another album durng the release of another, totally unheard of.

They appear on American TV (well, Jimmy Kimmel, but television nonetheless :thumb: )

Still waiting for the Conan appearance that would allow me to die a happy man (but not anytime soon, mind you :uhoh: )

I'm still waiting for them to appear on the Simpsons. Can you imagine it Homer getting drunk/high with Barney and then picking a fght with Hookey.

Unfortunately that'll never happen as they just aren't famous enough in the USA.

You reckon? What about the Baywatch connection (please do not take this opportunity to post anymore pictures of Knightrider)? And their Sunkist ad? What about Pretty In Pink? Even Denise in The Corrections liked New Order, and Oprah told the world to read The Corrections ( I know, that was a pissweak example, wasn't it?).

But yes, that would be one very good episode! t

Indeed! Way way better than the weak-arse U2 special guest spot....I can see it now

[Scene: Moe's Tavern]

Barney: Homer! Yer a decent bloke, even if you're a Yank Homer: Ha ha ha...yeah. We have it good here in the country that didn't need help being bailed out of the War of 1812...or was that the War of the Worlds...hmmmm... Barney: Now 'Omer! Try a hit of this, straight outta Salford! [Barney hands Homer a bottle of Pernod] Homer: Ooohh! Pretty colors *drools*

[Three hours later]

Homer (drunkenly): No way! Movement was a *much* more consistant album than Low Life! Barney (drunkenly): Yer off your rocker your twat!...Oh wait, we recorded Movement? What do you think, Osmodiar? Osmodiar, Homer's Imaginary Green Alien: Well Mr. Sumner, I think you are hallucinating! Yes indeed I do!
