Beers are in the fridge:thumb: . Wife and daughter sent upstairs to watch "Big Brother":banghead: We can all guess the setlist, but Itll be interesting to see if NO can win over the majority of the crowd who are probably unfamiliar. Watched the Doves last night and thought them quite good. Killers, OK. White Stripes, guitartastic! Dont think the crowd will tolarate lazyness and avoidable mistakes especially with the drenching theyve had. This gig could really kick off New Orders Year. It`s their cup final, I hope they play a blinder!

Could face beer after last night, but will be on the sofa with a cup of tea waiting to be excited for the second night running. Didn't know about the interactive bit, so will try the red button.

Saturday night yeah, but what time do they start playing, no mention of it anywhere.

2230 bst seems to be getting blown about. Only thing I know for sure is that the BBC red button goes hot at 2100hrs bst.

I am having a PANIC ATTACK. Just turend on BBC3 and there's no interactive option at the moment:nonono:

neworder hit the stage at 8.50pm

Just spoke to Jarvo - apparently it's another mudbath, they are heading down to the stage now, cos one of the crowd wanna see Keane. This is on BBC3 now, so fingers crossed we will indeed get the neworder concert.

This is all becoming too much, espescially with all the phone calls and texts to DoN and Jarvo:lol:

BBC3 Goes intercative at 2100?.Thats not too bad .Well only miss first 10 minutes of the Order.

19.45 Now.Fuckin Keane are on.Think i`ll nip down the chip shop for tea and stock up again on the beer before settling down in the armchair for New Order :thumb: Nice

Get Al or someone to scream at u when they see the whites of their eyes, then shout "NOW" here :)

Off to figure out recording options.

Hmmmmm tricky....gotta potentially start recording BBC3 main stream (assuming they show NO) at 2050, then at 2100, run down stairs and fiddle with my mum's freeview box to find the subchanel number (70n probably) to feed to the freeview decorder in my bro's machine to get NO.....BUT the recording system he wrote relies on a temp file, so we have to move it while changing streams.

LOL Never fookin easy.

I think my tape mangle may save the day here.

PS....kaiser chiefs were a revelation....and Keane nearly caused me to brake my mute button I hit it so hard so often.

PPS....where are the Vikings.....50ft in front of ookie I suppose? edit...well they are obv still drinkin somewhere, I mean where WILL they be :)

Cheers peeps, according to DoN interactive starts at 9.30pm Neworder start at 8.50 :nonono: Hopefully BBC3 will be good to us for the first 40 minutes, though I doubt it. I have the dvd hooked up to BBC3 and I have brought my portable downstairs and used TV aerial for BBC2. Only thing I can't record is the webcast.

Confused? So am I:D

Well ealier I posted that it's standard RM format and that you can scrape a direct link by using "open standalone player"....hopefully someone who knows more than me about windows knows a realripper that can do video.

GEORGE GALLOWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Keane just bailed. And they seemed to suggest NO were on after them, aybe too late for old men :)

Only takes the order's road filth 40 mins ro so to set up, and glasto is SPEEDY with many extra hands.

Antybody spotted any Order massive suffering the Keane torture treatment down the front while waiting for Uncle Brenard and company to hit the stage at 20.50 ?.Just imagine the pain.Ive just flicked on to Radio 1 for a bit .Annie Nightingale is playing some much more lively stuff . Oh God JD tribute band Interpol on telly now.Give me a break! And theres Gwynnie clapping along.Nice looking gal though i guess. i`ll give Evil Chris Martin that.

Interpol....not even SLIGHTLY influenced by JD....no sir not a bit.

EDIT: 10 outta 10 for effort....but bassplayer only knows 2 notes to hooky with, drummer plays like a drummer not a machine and that chaps voice isn't quite there is it. Still much less offensive than Keane.

Is there -no chance- of NO getting the main feed?

If not, I'll be feedhunting... it WILL be up on Astra, unencrypted. Just wheter or not the Sky Shittibox can get them is a different answer.

reckon some of em will be on. Hopefully between my vcr, my bro's pc, and Wavelab, I'll get most of it.

Then someone else will get a better copy :)

they have'nt mentioned NO on bbc3 but they have said they will be going to kasabian who are on the same time i think hmmmm

Why why why did I get rid of my COMAG..

I'm 100% certain the feed will be there on one of the BBCi Streamer Transponders. But a Shittibox can't get them. Bollox.

bbc3 presenter just said something like..."soon it'll be all about New Order", hopefully that means they'll be on prior to the interactive kicking in...Get Ready!

Interpol just finished and the Irish Rdaio 1 guy (cant remember his name) seemed to hint its basically gonna be Kasabian up against New Order so hopefully well be able to choose.I had actually would have liked to have watched Kasabian any other time.Saw them live last year.Very good and so is the album.Edith Bowman?.Hmmmm.... wouldnt mind to even tho shes a sweaty:love2:

Oh now it`s Roisin Murphy- ex Moloko (still?) on the Jazz stage .Top totty:thumb:

on a freeview box their "real" chanel numbers are 700 and up ( at least that's where we found wimbledon and two blanks earlier).

If that's any help?

No idea about the mechanics of Sky Digital I fear.

This Murphy woman is STILL stunning to the eye and the ear.

obviously the editors of bbc digital have been influenced by memento and the works of tarantino. non-linear doesn't even start to describe it. the bunnymen on both channels - and we thought bernard was suffering the ravages of age and hedonism! even the highlights were arse about face as the glasto phenomena of encroaching daylight as their set progressed backwards. hopefully it will start going even further back in time and they'll start getting younger and regaining their nerve and play something from a previous life.

The only tracks I didn't see on BBC3 were Regret (bastards would rather cut to the news!!!), WFTSC and BLT. Sound quality on the webcast was pretty poor...very tinny, wishy-washy and God knows where they were taking their feed from, very little audience noise and the instrument levels weren't right. Still, at least they showed the whole set, something BBC3 haven't yet managed despite havign shown some tracks 3 times.

hehehehehehe seen most of the highlights from glasto, got to admit it,50yrs old and can still kick it theys can. we can escuse the panto horse for the quip that ian brown and ian gillespe where in it,and would do anything for money. or as i would rather belive it was a metaphor for ian curtis (flogging a dead horse) OR MAYBE JUST MAYBE ian was actually in it and we have all been led a merrry dance. either way they was ace, just typical new order, all over the place, almost half lost but always found.:thumb:

It's all fucking Ian McCulloch's fault. The Bunnymen played Bring On The Dancing Horses tonight, and it sort of stuck in Bernard's mind. Unlike the lyrics to the songs he wrote!

Terrestrial BBC2 showing highlights now...seem to showing the same stuff as BBC3 did, probably no WFTSC or BLT then.

You know, I was really getting into that at the start and when I saw that melodica I knew it was time for LV and I was so so happy to see that song being played live, and for once it WAS actually live. Then they forget the rest of the gig :( and just go back for WIM. That really was heart wrenching, shame on the BBC.

I think this performance would make a great DVD though, this is Glastonbury after all, and it was just so great seeing them, they actually seemed really into it, even Steve. Such a shame there wasn't a full broadcast on TV, that really made me sad, I was so so so happy for a moment watching them, then comes on Kasabian, and all the happiness is ruined, OH MY GOD... :(

There's never going to be another band like New Order, and remember, this year isn't the end, we've got next year yet :)

From what I heard, the sound quality was brialliant, with the drums sounding very nice indeed, it really was amazing watching that untill they cut it off. This must be released on DVD, and the horse was hillarious.

Watched the Playlouder webcast of Glastonbury. Sound was a bit strange now and then; little keyboard and a lot of bass. In general it was pretty good. Everytime I watch them it seems as if they play these songs for the first time which is great.

I found that on some songs the keyboard was way too high in the mix and on some it was way too low. Same with Barney's vocals, although they were usually too low.

Them not playing BM - a song I actually LIKE dammit - was offset by the DJ in the local playing playing all seven and a half of it when I requested it...

How are you achieving the download? ( this is gonna invlove windows isn't it :) )

TBH, I think those of us who were watching live all just got fooked off by the messing around the beeb were doing. I myself lost interest when I realised I shoulda been on the web feed all along. Oh, and having listenned to the webnix a bit now, I definitely think it's split off at the monitor desk....hence no fx or anything and the odd levels (not that THIS bassplayer is complaining at the hookyfest). Guess Auntie nicked all the best outputs :)

Wasted the batteries in my remote flicking through all the BBC digital channels trying to find New Order - the BBC's coverage is an absolute disgrace - its they same every year. Managed to see most of the New Order set and it wasn't too bad. Nice to see Steve smiling, Peter in full flow and Bernard giving it his all. The only thing that looked dodgey was Phil Cunninghams sunglasses  Regarding Keith Allen and the horse, well it made me laugh :D . Does anyone know if this was all pre-arranged or not, (the horse bit)
