Just been reading through the posts put up while New Order were on stage. Very entertaining. They should all be emailed to the DG of the BBC, then they might realise why people are sick of the licence fee.
I was seriously embarrassed tonight. Ive spent years trying to convince my 13 year old son that the bands he is into: Chilis, White Stripes, Radiohead, Manics etc were not fit to string Hookys bass. We sat down, beer, crisps, fizzy, chocolate etc, tuned in, channel surfed just to catch a complete track! Got the Irish DJ telling us were about to get something special, Jeez! would it be EGG? Dreams? Lonesome?...Nah, we got a panto horse and that Keith Allen bloke who seems to make a living from being New Orders mate.
My boy went upstairs to listen to the Chilis, and I just squirmed.

They were diabolical to watch tonight... still, I love their music, I just won't make a habit of seeing them live.
That's be the same Keith Allen who wrote their only number one, and a few of his own.
Youre absolutely right, lights off and miserable faces all the way, imagine the cheeky bastards enjoying themselves....they're New Order, they're supposed to be dark and depressing.
Bollox, I thought they rocked and I laughed my nadgers off at the horse.
