Thanks, Shug. It could have been a little more inspired but I've been consumed by listening to the new Creed album. My apologies to Ms. Spears for the mispelling of her first name. Perhaps I'm not a true fan after all.

Uncertain Smile - The The......Excellent choice Phil. I was mentally constructing my list and this was the first thing that came to mind. I've got two copies on the turntables as i write this (spent the aftenoon mixing between the US and UK singles--both versions are awesome). Perfect also puts a huge smile on my face. Uncertain Smile live in NewOrleans in 93 was huge. No johnny marr but Matt johnson put on a great show.

Hurricane - Bob Dylan ...think Shug mentioned this recently. The truth never sounded so good.

Somethings Burning - Stone Roses ...the beauty of the roses wrapped up in a hushed groover. harsh lyrics whispered over the funkiest 7+ minutes they ever played

Little Bullet - Spooky ...fucking classic every second. has anyone heard Charlie May's new ep, Bugs? Check it out pronto if you like Spooky/Sasha

There Is a Light - The Smiths

Belfast - Orbital ...symetry is good (but hard to spell)

I Don't Know What I can Save You From - Kings of Convienence (Royksopp Mix) ...my favorite non-neworder song at the moment

Rocky Racoon - The Beatles ...hard to choose with the Beatles so i'll pick my sentimental favorite

Djed - Tortoise ...the first time i heard this i flipped. it's fun to watch the changes approach the needle

Neurotic Behaviour - Carl Craig ...moody techno. absolute prove that machine music is not souless.

Meiso - DJ Krush (Klub Mix) ...dual rap/downtempo selection. Shadow's production is the peak of Krush's live set which is really saying something (isn't it?)

Spoonman - Underworld ...nice bikini, steppin razor

So Much Trouble In the World - Bob Marley ...song for today. "the way things are going, anything can happen"

Can't believe nobody here has even mentioned those Krautrock legends CAN (Michael Karoli passed away last November, sadly, how many of you knew that?). Their "Halleluwjah" is an absolute CLASSIC! and without it Happy Mondays would never have been able to rip it off and have the nerve to also title it the same! Think about it!

Anyway, a few other great songs are: CAN - Mother Sky Revolting Cocks - Beers Steers and Queers Revolting Cocks - Butcher Flowers Woman! The Flaming Lips - Race For The Prize The Flaming Lips - Slow Nerve action Section 25 - Dirty Disco Laugh - Sensation No. 1 ACR - Blown Away ACR - Flight Breeders - Cannonball Dawn Of The Replicants - Cocaine On The Catwalk The Stranglers - Something Better Change ROC - Excised
