eh... promise of hope?
Seemed like the guy was dead.
Okay my summer choices:
WORLD IN MOTION
SUCH A GOOD THING
It's just a weird coincidence that these song are about football. ![]()
True Faith, remember walking to the shops in the blazing sunshine just to buy it - ah, carefree days!
Confusion Played it to death when on those islands in SPAIN a long time ago!Hell i can taste the SUNTAN OIL!I need a DRINK.:D
Perfect Kiss - It was played all the time at this club I went to. Oh do I miss those days with no kids, no worries except rent and long summer nights dancing my carefree life away!
Sooner Than You Think and Face Up. I was listening to Low-life to death when I first visited Arizona in 1997 and any time I hear those songs or indeed that album it brings back memories of the sun and relentless dry heat
Low-life is definitely my "summer" New Order album, probably followed by Technique.
The Morel 2001 mixes of True Faith also reminds me of summer...that dreamy reverb on the mixes.
Loveless. I don't know why. I've always asscociated Technique with the beginning / middle of summer and Republic with the end.
Mr. Disco here too.
Mainly because I bought Technique in the summer (can't remember which one, 90 or 91), the only other NO stuff I had was Substance. Which wasn't bought in summertime.
Pretty much all of Technique. I bought it in May of 89 - spent the next three months listening to it while wasting the summer days hanging out at my friend's backyard pool thinking about what girls we were gonna try and date.
Mr. Disco - definitely, especially the lyric about "holidays we spent together"
I think knowing it was conceived on Ibiza and thinking of open air discos and beaches certainly gave it that sunshine feel.
Regret without any doubt!
Summer of '93, road trip to go see the Order live... ah the memories :D
