Favorite New Order Instrumental Track?

For a band that doesn't seem all too "musical" and admittedly hates practising, they have some great instrumental tunes. What's your fav?

I have to go with the instrumental version of Vanishing Point (Making out Mix).

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a True Faith Instrumental?

I love the instrumental of Theives Like Us from Substance 87. Love the original as well but sometimes i just have to sit back and listen to the beautiful synth sound!

Weird... No one has mentioned "Elegia", yet.

I don't know which is my favorite. I love this one, "Avalanche" too...

Let's Go is the best, IMHO, followed by Elegia and Skullcrusher. Remixes and dub versions don't count !!

Sloppy's got the right songs but in the wrong order. Elegia then Let's Go followed by Don't Do It - no, wait...shit, too close to call. I've been pushing for the Order to add a few instrumentals to the next LP but no one seems to back me up. It would accomplish a couple major issues: Barney has fewer songs to write words for, in turn producing less songs like Slow Jam AnD...Neworder can write very moving pieces of music like the crescendo in Perfect Kiss after the cricket break and if they were focusing on an instrumental rather than a "song" they could reach new heights. They sound better as a band now but the creative juices may have turned to fat from stagnation. 8 Vocal 2 Instrumental = 1 perfect album.

Hmmmm yes, would have been interesting. It's a far stronger song than the crappy Fine Time. I've never understood why they have so often put the wrong song on the wrong side of records, or put two equally good songs out on a single. Lonesome Tonight, 1963 being just two that spring to mind.

Of course we have all forgotten the best one - Best and Marsh !!

Don't Do It - A tune I always think is typical NO and truly encapulates all the best elements of their original sound and released when they were probably at the peak of their powers.

Oh and Ecstacy comes a very close second even if it does sound a bit like ELO!

You're right Buster, got to be Elegia for me as well. And of course that 15 minutes or so version.

I suppose someone should answer Ahmed's original question: the instrumental of True Faith can be found on the 12". It's called Alternate Faith Dub and plays for a whopping 10:41 secs. 1963 follows so it's a win/win situation.
