T in the Park views

Been on the BBC website and it is absolutely amazing how fans of today's bands acknowledge how good the Order were. I'm so proud to be a New Order 'acolyte'. How come they are just the most amazing band in the world? How come they are nearly 50 and yet no one takes thep*ss? How come? Cos they are New Order. And no one else will ever be New Order. And that's why they will always be the best. Forever. Some guy on the bbc site said something along the lines of " Elvis, stones, beatles have all changed music but I don't think anyone has as much as New Order"- if you think about it it's true- 25 YEARS in an era obsessed with age and "being cool", they are truly incredible... don't ever forget it.

Ahm most of us here are mad fans who will readuly agree with these opions, so we wont forget.

To answer the question quality unfortunately does not gurantee success. Quite often the opposite is the case. Just look at the charts. Teeniee boppers, boybands, nu metal, rap crap. Yuck, yuck. All have much braoder appeal for the massess. Yes its true if you work to the lowest common denminator you get crap.

Every now and again however good music shines through. Ah them were the glory days of the mid to late 80s, when the Order achieved chart success.
