Isn't it weird how new order uses animals in their songs in the background.

WHO"S JOE -- at the end of the song there is a LION roaring.

PERFECT KISS -- at the end you hear FROGS in the background.

FINE TIME -- there is a sound of a GOAT at the end of the song.

there is a synth sound at the end which could sound like growling breathing - something like a lion:skeptic:

And what`s all that squaking at the end of Dub Vulture?.

Apparently the samples involved are subtle messages:

The Perfect Kiss features frog samples as in 'kissing a frog that might turn into a prince' etc.

Fine Time has sheep bleating because they sometimes believed the 'acid house' thing was stuffed full of people following the conventions of the genre sheep-like instead of developing their own take on it. Strange buggers, these Mancunians...

Always thought it was a distorted sample of someone breathing at the end of "Who's Joe?"

Now that New Order have some loot, they should re-record The Perfect Kiss, but use the real "T-t-t-t-that's all, folks!" sample at the end. :thumb:

I think the goat(or sheep) in Fine Time reappears during part of Ruined In A Day as well. There's a lion on the music Hooky recorded as an intro to Stockholm Monsters gigs.

The sheep on Fine time was described in NME as "the lamb of god bleating his approval " or something.

the "werewolf noise" as we always called it, at the end of dubvulture is just the word "hurt" slowed RIGHT down. The drooling salivating noise behind it is thq quantization noise cos the sampler is so far beyond it's intended range. Try it for yourself, but use a kids sampler (todays sonic equivalent of an enulator, tho it had pro grade parts)

I think the so called Lion at the end of who's joe is just the distorted guitar with a bit of whammy bar or bending. Its just good soloing I think.

All animals that can be shagged, or so I've been told.

I want a CD version of the BLT video where the woman says 'I don't believe in reincarnation because I refuse to come back as a Bug or a RABBIT!'

...'you're a really UP person'...

Reading through some of your posts Steve, you inject(in a long winded manner:nod:  )highly intelligent debate, and a wealth of New order Trivia, such as the above :thumb: like it man..I love the diversity of all characters on NOOL,and especially those who say it... as they see it,like you do..Thanks for clearing up the werewolf noise man,I can tell my curious friends Cambo boxed it off:music:

Yes I want it too....I had totally forgot about the classic... utterly indignant refusal, to come back as a RABBIT or a BUG and the UP PERSON crac, on the BLT video.Hopefully this DVD will have some nice extras and insights from the band, and of the band, since NEWORDERSTORY was made too :shades:

I think it might be a different member of the feline species, possibly a domestic cat purring.
